Death Magnetic sucked, sure All Nightmare Long was a fine video, but the album sucked

Was it better than anything they've released since 1990? Yes, I believe it is. I'd rather listen to "The Judas Kiss" than "Enter Sandman".

I'd rather listen to almost any song ever than Enter Sandman because no metal/rock fan over the age of 20 ever needs to hear Enter Sandman ever again thanks to being over-played. But Enter Sandman is a much better song than anything that metal have written this decade.

Also, in 2009 I have listened to St Anger more than Death Magnetic. Death Magnetic is OK, but St Anger has the redeeming quality of being so bad that it sounds like a Metallica parody of nu-metal and so I choose to look at it as a comedy album.

St. Anger is what alone qualifies, for me, Metallica for one of the worst band of the decade...and whilst 'Death Magnetic' was not as bad as 'St. Anger', its still pretty woeful.

suppose nickelback, black eyed peas etc goes without saying, so i'll pick:

bloc party
the wombats
scouting for girlssss, yeah, basically any nme-endorsed, landfill indie chancer group since whatever people say i am, that's what i'm not that makes you long for gay dad
snow patrol

hmm...keane is the worst of the bunch, though. you oughta know it's bad when E-V-E-R-Y song you put out sounds like the verve imitating the verve parodying the verve. this is taking awfulness to a whole new level.

My mum plays Keane about 5 times a day, so I also have developed a hatred of sorts against them.

Come on, Silent Alarm was brilliant but Intimacy was ew and A Weekend in the City was hardly a lot better. Apart from Mercury, that's a pretty catchy little tunee.

Shame, they'd have been good live. Silent Alarm was a class album, one of the best of 05'. But they've gone from an interesting indie band to being an annoying poppy dancy bile coloured sickening concoction of shite.

the music is just extremely uninteresting to me. the tracks i've heard from their latest album were horrible. :/

but the drummer and the guitarist have potential.

This whole thread's kind of difficult really, because too be honest their hasn't been a second top ten song that was even half decent.

Apart from Rage Against The Machine that is.

Dancing

I've also just realised that there's only one more smiley in the 'More Smilies' box. Which is this > Angel and it sucks anyway.
