I:Hey Jimmy hows touring?

J:It's cool, we need to get better in SA and A though, but soon we'll tour with Jakey and Regan and we'll return to America, afterword we'll be back in those regions and then Europe.

I:What do you bring on tour?

J:My Laptop which has all of my music,an interface, and protools for songwriting.I also bring nail polish haha,and of course my phone.I don't bring alchohol or drugs though, we usually get that shit for free haha.

I:Are you clean?

J:Well I don't do any hard drugs, I'm a serious stoner and just about every rockstar is a drunk.I've simmered down though, ever since my daughter Freyja was born.

I:So now you have how many kids?

J:Just two....that I know of haha.Timo will be 1 in April.

I:What artists have you enjoyed touring with?

J:Anyone really, they're all so cool but our buddies were The Prisoners, it's not even funny how much shit we got into haha, I hope they do a reunion and chill with us.

I:You seem a lot more laid back now that you're off the stuff, what do you do at home?

J:I like to play video games, watch tv, play guitar, I don't actually do much, I just rock out to my favorite albums, occasionally I hang with the dudes.

I:Speaking of rocking out, what's it like being a critically acclaimed guitarist?

J:Well, it's flattering, I honestly don't think I'm that great, I'm just laying down something challenging and fun.

I:Why do you play metal?

J:Well I like a challenge.When I started playing I just wanted to play, but seeing as I can figure out just about anything you can throw at me in an hour or so, I wanted to be able to make challenging stuff which is much harder than learning challenging stuff.

I:So you like to be able to take down a challenge?

J:Yeah and make them for people haha. Play a Failed Youth song and then play a Nimrods song, you'll see the difference.No offense to them of course I love those guys, hardcore is great music.

I:Do you have a favorite band?

J:Not really, I listen to too many kinds of music you know?If I only listened to metal or rock or punk or pop it would be easier to say.

I:What music do you like best besides metal or prog?

J:Ummmmm probably hardcore, I like fast shit, brings me back to my days growing up in Berkeley.

I:what made you shift genres from punk to Prog?

J:I get that A LOT. Um probably the challenge, punk gets boring after a while and I needed a switch, prog has such far reaches I doubt it'll get boring.

I:What kind of music will the next album be?

J:More fusion influence, in solos and the cleaner parts, stuff like that.

I:What do you think defines you,what makes you stick out above the crowd?

J:You mean below the crowd haha.I like to think when I get the chance, I'm artistic, a romantic I guess.I'm very short and when I shave I look like an ugly woman haha.I'm also pretty well tempered, at least while sober, usually takes a while to get me mad or at least to provoke violence.
