01/26/2010 Roanoke, Virginia- The Voyd is about to release their newest single within the next few hours. This holds a lot of meaning for the band as earlier today a friend of theirs died earlier today from a long battle with a rare type of cancer. Nick Reed, the bassist, wrote the single in the middle of griefing session where he locked himself in his room that the band has been staying in while working on their sophmore album that is due to be finish within the next few months. However wants he showed it to the other bandmates and they knew they needed to get it recorded and released so that they they could help out their family during these tough times. The money made for the single will be given in to ways. The family will get 50% of the makings to help with debt and with groceries during their long expected grieving process. The other 50% will go to the Ronald McDonald Foundation where Lucas was treated at. The other songs set to be released are "The Pretender" and "Kingdom of Heaven" where the band wrote it a few months ago but kept it on the backburner but feel that it is appropriate to release it now.



The album cover has also been released. The band expects sales to be big, at least big enough to make a big contribution to the Foundation and the family.
