Every time I'm backstage after a Nimrods show or at a singing a decent amount of stupid fans will say "Who the fuck are those two?".They're always referring to me and the keyboardist Jack.Usually someone will say we're live musicians.But what they don't know is that at least I helped write most of the songs on "The Iliad" and "The Odyssey" which are responsible for the change in sound from The Nimrods.Honestly without me they'd still be playing hardcore.I still remember the day I met a young Jimmy and Davey.

One of my old bands called Rotting Skin.Was playing at a Berkeley club.We were I guess a mix of death metal,thrash metal,and a little hardcore.Sort of like a more technical Sepultura.We were accepted because we had that fast hardcore edge even though we were metal.I remember we were playing our I guess signature song "Broken Dream" and I see these two kids no older than 15 hanging out with a 18 year old Kit Saunders!I knew who he was, he's always been a favorite drummer of mine and we hang out a lot.I was 25 years old at the time and was highly surprised.I remember seeing two heads banging with blond hair standing at the left and right of Kit just headbanging like mad.When I got to my solo, probably the best I've ever played I saw Jimmy look up at me like he saw Jesus.He just stared at me for the rest of the show with wide brown eyes.Afterwords I met them because I wanted to talk to Kit and he introduced me to Jimmy and Davey.Jimmy started telling me all of the songs he knew and how he had all of my demos and I gave him a pick and told him never to stop playing.I let him play one of our songs on my guitar and he teared up just touching it.After the show I said to keep in touch and we were on our way.

When I saw the midget on stage 10 years later playing I remember calling him up and saying if he ever needed help I was there.The next year he said the band wanted more complexity and needed another guitarist.I joined right away and Him,Davey,and I go straight to writing The Iliad.We just poured shit out.When Jimmy started playing I was shocked, one of the best guitarists I've ever seen in my entire life.He was still on drugs in those days and was jumpy but he didn't fuck up once.After recording The Odyssey things just went downhill.Jimmy and Davey started doing more drugs and were always shut up about the music.I got to write less,solo less,I was fucked over.

I've had enough now though.Yesterday I gave Jack a call and tomorrow we're talking to those control freaks.If I can't write I'm out of the band,I have so many ideas and they don't even fuckin' care so forget it.I try to help some guys and they don't even let me pull my weight, no one even knows who we are!It isn't fair,I've had it.......

Today I got a call from Jimmy.He read something I said in a magazine about how Jack and I were mistreated and angry about it.He wasn't too happy."Look man,we've known each other a long time and this is how you deal with your problems?Talking shit about your band members!?!"He said to me.I tried to tell him that the band didn't treat Jack and I like members anyway!Later Jack came over and we started working on some material.

We managed to come up with some decent progressive stuff but still low par to The Nimrods.Still pretty good for the first song we wrote together.We managed to bang out one really good one though.Lot of cool polyrhythms and solos,all that stuff.I think the guys will like it,It's better than a lot of their stuff.I called Jimmy over to hear it and he said it wasn't his taste and that the band wanted to get more brutal.Because of this I'm really angry that this dude just can't be satisfied.I complained to my best friend from Finland Tapani Lindstrom.Tomorrow he's coming over and he plays drums and guitar as well so he can help!

Tapani came over today.We jammed and came up with a bunch of new stuff that'll just floor The Nimrods.Tomorrow we're going to confront them with our stuff!I can't wait to see the look on that midget attention whore's face.

Jaska and his Finnish friend Tapani came over today and showed us some stuff.It doesn't really fit the Nimrods though.They're threatening that Jaska and Jack will quit the band!Today I signed us up for therapy with a therapist named Mike Hunt apparently he'll help.We went in the building and there he was.....

Jaska:Basically the problem is Jimmy.We used to be close but now he always shuts me out of the songs and I never get my credit.He lives in a mansion and I like in an apartment!

Jimmy:We wanted to change direction....

Jaska:Yeah right and even if you did you're probably just afraid to admit my songs are better than yours.

Jimmy:Fuck you, you're just mad you can't write a decently progressive song

Jaska:You know I'm better than you!

Kit: Guys, relax we can settle this peacefully! Sorry Doctor.

Jack:I'm on Jaska's side, they don't even ever use my keyboards. Fuck you Jimmy!

Jimmy stands up angrily

Jimmy:Bitch shut the fuck up we don't even need you!
Davey:Relax relax! Jack we don't really need you it's true but we're trying to fit you in!
Jack:You're only on Jimmy's side because you love him?
Jimmy:What?
Jack:Oh I let the cat out the bag?
Davey:Dude I'll explain later.
Kit:I'm neutral you all have points but we have better things to do than fight!
Jaska:Fuck all of you!
