Spotted just a couple of days ago, on and off again all girl sleazy punk rockers The Graveyard Sluts, smashing their instruments in a grimy club in downtown London to a small but appreciative audience who lapped up their dirty, swaggering blend of punk, black and roll and rock. The self styled ‘Hells Favourite Bitches’ featuring Nina, Daphne, Melinda and CK Killer tore up the Plan B club, leaving the several hundred rock and punk fiends that filtered onto the sidewalks of Brixton Street rather satisfied.

‘First time I saw em’ commented Jack, ‘not bad…and their music is alright too’ he added with a grin. Sam, a short statured, heavily tattooed girl dragging a rather weedy looking lad behind here has seen them a few times previously. ‘Yeah, I love those mad bitches, they play rock how its supposed to be played…fucking loud and sleazy. Easily the female equivalent of Bon Scott era AC/DC with a black metal rhythm section!’

Following the release of their single ‘The Dead Have Risen’ nearly a year ago, things had gone very quiet, with the band’s annoying habit of disappearing off the radar when things got interesting. Yet now, getting the goss from a roadie who grunted that they were in the know, the band are serious about hanging around and getting around to finishing off their second album they had in mind.

It had been sitting half recorded in a studio somewhere before the band fought and squabbled, went their separate ways but found the lure of rock and roll too much to resist. What’s it called? The roadie couldn’t answer that, nor would the band who had hightailed it to some dingy joint elsewhere in the city for alcohol related shenanigans lead by new girl CK Killer (Real name Camilla Klein…her name coming from an Amen song apparently…or a corruption of Casey Chaos, Amen’s singer, whom the band think of as an overrated, shreiking pussy). The band are schedule to play several more shows across London, including one at the Underworld.
