Your Mum, the fifth most successful band in the history of the world, have announced the recruitment of a new band member.

Lucy Flappington will join the band in time for the recording of their new album and will be focussing on the cowbell. Vocalist Jeff Titface said "For some time now we've been lacking some cowbell, and we feel as though we're at the right stage of our career to introduce the highly versatile instrument into our sound".

Guitarist Billy Bob d'electric added "We've past the point in our career where record sales is everything. Our album "Is A Slag" is the third highest selling album of all time, so we feel as though we've made our mark on the public and now it's time to write some music we've been itching to get going with".

Bassist Clive Bumm wasn't available for an interview as he's working on some solo material, however his publicist said "Clive is happy to have Lucy on board, she rocks the cowbell like no other."

Drummerist Mongo Jones said "It's like having an actual cow in the studio, except Lucy has only got two legs and doesn't produce milk on demand. She does do smelly poos though."

Rhythm guitarist Dave Smith echoed everyone elses comments but warned she'll have to make an immediate impact. "We've spent too long on getting to where we are now, so we hope Lucy doesn't balls it up. Everyone's eyes will be watching her. We're going to celebrate Lucy's arrival by having a b-side purely made of cowbell. It will be a cowbell extravaganza" said Dave. "Additionally she's working hard in preparation for a 20 minute cowbell solo for our next batch of live shows".

When asked what the new material will sound like, Jeff Titface replied "we're trying an experimental thrash metal sound but with cowbells and a bit of triangle put in for good measure. We don't know who'll do the triangle yet but we'll find someone".

Your Mum will be releasing a new album in the next few weeks, with a single to support its release.
