THE BARDS DEBUT ALBUM

Nearly forty years ago a small band from the midwest released an album called Lost Kings Highway Chronicles I: The Epic Battle. The album sky rocketed them to the top ten in the USA charts and soon the music world would forever be changed by the coming of THE BARDS.

Fronted by troubled musician Jack Fate who was dubbed the voice of his generation with his topical songs from his two solo albums In Double and Last Sundown. After fame and the constant buzz of critics and fans Fate left his solo career behind and formed The Bards.

After the success of Lost Kings Highway the band toured and picked up momentum with their awesome and often crazy concerts that mirrored The Doors live shows. After a few months on the road The Bards announced they would embark on an epic record that would contain 4 disc and would be the greatest rock n roll album EVER. The album was entitled BEYOND THE INNER COSMIC FANTASY

The first disc was called Electric Love Horse and smashed to the top of the charts. It was the first album to feature the bands fantasy rock sound that they are known for. But sadly after the release singer and founder Jack Fate was found dead from a drug overdose.

The band was in a frenzy but the answer was already written in the stars. Marc Rolan, friend of Jack Fate, was brough aboard and to record a single called Space Gunner. The single proved to be a success and proved that Rolan was indeed the right choice to take over.

With a creative fury The Bards released,
Dragon Dancer, Magic Machine & The Sky Warrior and The Real Side

in under two years. The Bards where labeled ROCK GODS. The entire album sold more then 5 million copies.

But Marc Rolan had taken to drugs and had fallen into a pattern of insomnia that lasted 3 months without sleep. In a drug filled daze and creative surge Marc prepared to film an epic sci fi rock musical called The Raiders Of The Crystal House featuring Pop Sensation Stephanie Fierce. But as the album wrapped Jack Fate O.D and the projected was scrapped as he went to rehab for a year. The album was released and smashed it's way to #1 in the USA. Proving that Marc was indeed a music legend.

Coming out of rehab a changed man Marc created his one album band, AUTOPLANE & THE HEARTS BIZARRE
The album was a soft acoustic/folk sound that peaked at #25 in the world. The album reflected the mind and mood of Marc as he was injected with fame, fortune and drugs.

Satisfied that he had his life under control The Bards reformed and came out with the mildly soft rock album Easy Way East that flirited with Dylan-esque folk rock sound and a touch of their own sound. The album proved to be a success when it peaked at #13 in the world. Critics and fans alike loved this album but cried out for more fantasy rock albums.

After a world tour the band answered with the powerful and their most creative album which featured mostly instrumental tracks, the album was THUNDER ON THE MOUNTAIN. The album hit #20 in the world but the fans and critics still drooled for more...

The answer came with Gods Of Mars which pleased all fans and critics. The bands growing turmoil with recording and touring erupted to the band departing and giving Marc all creative property.

Everybody wonder what he would do with it, the answer was The Bards Journey Home which was the last album with all the memebers in it. Though the album was classic Bards the fans failed to accept it and it only reached #25 world wide.

With WORLD TOUR II under the belt the newly formed Bards released SKY FIRE, a blues rock album that slowly climbed to #10 world wide. Proving that they can tackle any genre.

After being ripped by certain critics for being old and repetitive, The Bards announced they would release a heavy metal album called Neptunes Nemesis. Which was a huge success.

After a year off The Bards regrouped and announced their last album THE CORONATION

which is their best rated and highly praised album.
