The Waiting Room who recently reported when it's fifth album "Paradox of Hedonism" came out that they don't plan to write or record any new material until after a world tour have recently been reported to be playing new songs that band have wrote while on tour.

They have been reported to be playing new songs titled "Leukaemia", "Distant Visions", "Strange Cases", and another new song titled "In The Wool". Frontman Paul Reeves said before playing "Leukaemia" that the song was actually written for Jakey Comatose who is struggling with the disease right now. Also Logan Spills gave us details on these new songs:

"These new songs are something we all came up with during soundcheck. We all were just jamming the fuck out and this is what came out. We were planning to wait awhile for the next album but we are considering entering the studio this summer to release a follow up to "Paradox of Hedonism" and looking to bring John Smith back to produce the album. We're leaning towards "Distant Visions". We aren't going for a "sound" we're just going to make music and whatever comes out we like will be on it. It won't be like the last album with a bunch of collaborations. It'll be nothing but us 5 and a producer. Also Fear is still reuniting but we aren't going to be actually getting ready for that until late summer but will be putting an E.P. out this summer to give back for the wait. Album is also sounding more like "Define Gravity" if I had to choose an album it sounds anything like. It's different and more experimental and progressive. It'll be fun to see how this album comes out."

It has been reported the band have already wrote 8 new songs recently and that John Smith has been tapped for producing the new album.

Paul Reeves recently revealed more of the new album:

"We won't going to start writing but these songs have amazed us. Just when we feel like we can't top our previous album we start writing a bunch of new songs that indeed top our old ones. I don't mean to stereotype but we are amazed by these new songs we have written. The B-Sides album will now be postponed until this album is released. We're aiming for a June release and it will be produced by John Smith; former Casting Thin Shadows member and very close friend of the band. In fact John was part of the band when we first started out and he is credit for writing some of the songs off of "Certainties". This album is more ambient, progressive, and ROCK! It won't be titled "Distant Visions" but it is aiming for a title of "In Fear Of Change To Come". The album is more influence by bands of At The Drive-In, Tool, and Circa Survive to be honest. We love At The Drive-In and "Relationship of Command" has always been my favorite album since it came out. This album will be our best one and we are making totally sure of it."

Paul also said a demo of a new song will be released as a B-Side of the last single from 'Paradox of Hedonism'; "Bloodlines" and the single will be out this Thursday.

Last night at the show Paul Reeves revealed that the new album is being titled "Red Sky Season" and will be released on June 8th and the first single is being called "Republica" and will be released on June 2nd. He stated the new album takes more of a progressive feel to it and will be more melodic and also more guitar based. They are currently gearing up for a tour with Transferium Project and plan to take their sound into a more aggressive tone but still keep it true to their roots. Paul also stated the new album will be produced by John Smith and will also be a more maturer album than previous ones. Paul and Logan have also been secretly writing with the rest of Fear on their comeback they are planning for this fall.

The Waiting Room released the last single off their new album today. "Bloodlines" was released with 2 b-sides of an outtake and a new song called "Strange Cases" they've been performing live. You can buy it here.
