How does everyone feel about it? Personally I love it, some of my favorites are Nasum, Rotten Sound, Pig Destroyer, and Magrudergrind, who are probably my favorite band right now.

I just listened to some grindcore and absolutely hated it. I like grunge because it may be screamed a lot, but at least you can understand what they're saying most of the time! |

No. But, I didn't think you would like it, hard to jump right from Adam Lambert stuff to grind, prolly near impossible.

My iPod covers a wide spectrum from a belgiun Alt.Rock band (Creature With the Atom Brain), to German Pop from the 80's (99 luftbaloons- nena), to grunge (Nirvana, PJ, Alice in Chains, and Soundgarden), to rap (various), to P!nk. You can't accuse me of not being open to new music. |

No, but I mean if you think they scream in grunge then it was going to be pretty obvious grindcore would never appeal to you! :p |

I'm just saying it took me, along with likely most people who like grind, some time to immerse themselves more in really heavy music to actually really enjoy bands like Napalm Death and Magrudergrind.

I agree, I progressed very gradually. I started out a big Green Day/AFI/Nirvana/Weezer fan which I still am, then I moved on to Metallica as well and from there Children of Bodom and from there Death and Satyricon and now I'm a big fan of Decapitated,Death,Atheist,Suffocation,Cannibal Corpse,Opeth, and a HUGE variety of black metal ranging from raw (Early Burzum) to very melodic (Naglfar) |

I got done with Limp Bizkit just after Mission Impossible II theme came out. So essentially I finished with nu-metal before it got cool in the UK 8-) I'm ahead of the curve. |

Yeah, I was sort of the same with my choons initially, Bizkit and Korn to start with but then along came death metal and it took a big steaming blood soaked dump on nu metal. |

Not a huge fan of Grindcore, admitedly. Love death metal, but not huge Grindcore fan. I quite like Bolt Thrower and Carcass. With the whole "where did you start liking metal", I started with Weird Als White Boy Polka, which introduced me to nu-metal, and most importantly SOAD (not really nu-metal, but each to their own.) With SOAD, I branched into slightly heavier music, eventually moving on to... sigh.... Deathcore. That was a long while ago, and you'll be glad to know I LOATHE it now. With Deathcore on YouTube, I heard people complaining that original Death Metal was better, so I started listening to Death (the band, not the metal.) I loved it. That also introduced me to prog metal, my fave genre of music. Coheed and Cambria are still my fave band though, and i'm not quite sure why. I love themz a lot. |
