She’s the younger sister of Rock singer-songwriter Max Armstrong and she’s beginning to trail her own blaze, She’s just starting her own career after leaving University, she’s decided that the entertainment business is where she wants to be, she’s planning on modelling, acting and presenting. She’s no longer in a relationship with Robbie Stevenson which ended last week after 3 years together, she’s already hoping to find someone and wants to start having fun, I sat down with Katie Armstrong and had a chat. You’ve always been close with Max, even when he moved to New York, how would you describe you relationship. Katie: It’s just a pretty basic brother and sister relationship really. It was tough when Max moved to New York because we’ve always been like best friends, he’s very protective of me, If I go out partying one night he still worries but he’s started to get a bit more used to it. But yeah we’re very close.
Would you say you’ve held back over the past 2 or so years when it comes to living your life. Katie: Yeah I definitely have, I’ve been at university and I took that really seriously, I guess when people look at me they assume that I’m some dumb party girl, But I’m really not, I’ve always been one of the top students at school and at University, I’ve got really good qualifications and I worked hard for them. I haven’t really partied very much over the last 2 years but right now I’m just going to start living my life without any worries.
Your currently single, do you like the loneliness Katie: Not really but I’ve got my friends and family and I know that they’re always gonna be there for me, but I hate not being in a relationship. Right now I just want to find someone I can have fun with without worrying about things like the future, I just want to be with someone who I enjoy spending time with.
Does Max have a big say on who you date Katie: No not at all, Max became good friends with Robbie after a couple of months, But the only thing that’s important is that I’m happy, He’s really nothing to worry about.
Does it put people off though Katie: I dunno I guess it might put some people off, He’s a kind person but he likes to make sure that their with me because they like me not because he’s famous and we’ve got a bit of money.
How long do you plan on being single Katie: Hopefully not very long, I’ve got a few friends who have been interested in me in the past but no one at the moment has asked me on a date or anything.
A lot of model/actresses date musicians, would that interest you Katie: Yeah, If they’re nice people then sure, There are some musicians I’ve met that I find attractive and I don’t think the lifestyle would put me off. I’m not looking for a massive commitment I’m looking for someone who like’s me, enjoys being with and hopefully finds me attractive.
What musicians would you say your interested in Katie: I’d prefer not to say really, A lot of musicians are attractive and are fun people to be with.
