American rockstar Billy Maddison delighted fans over the weekend by releasing a music video on his official website. The video, whilst pleasing fans, shocked the media. Why? Well, it was only a cover of the hit song Paparazzi... a pop record...
Billy also wrote a message saying "I know this is all what you want... so fine, have it... have everything".

One fan commented saying "I know this was released as an attack on the media, and I feel really sorry for him and Gemma. They wanted some privacy during Gemma's pregnancy and the paparazzi totally stole that from them, which isn't fair. But at the same time, I'm really happy to hear more music from Billy and omg, how hot does he look in this vid?!?!?!?! Yum yum yum!!!!"

Indeed, the video made it clear that Maddison hasn't lost his looks despite being out of the limelight, as he spends most of the video only in his jeans, displaying his tanned, toned and muscular physique.
At the beginning of the song, Maddison is spotted walking down the street at night, in good spirits, wearing jeans, a shirt and a black (faux) leather jacket, before being surrounded by photographers, who close in on him, flashlights shining. The next part then cuts to Maddison topless and chained up in a basement, sweating and struggling to free himself, while the entire encounter is being captured on video, which is then leaked onto the internet with eager fans watching the recordings. A TV news and newspaper report follows with the headlines 'BILLY MADDISON FOUND!!'. The photographers return to the basement, where they take more photographs of the star shackled up before being pushed out of the way by a manager in a dark suit, who begins shouting at Maddison, slapping him across the face when he refuses the demands being made of him, spray Billy's blood across the wall behind him. A bruised and downhearted Billy is then seen having his cuts and bruises covered up by makeup girls, before the manager unties him and pushes him out onto a stage in front of screaming fans and yet more photographers, before a report comes up on the screen stating "Maddison's return gig a success!"
Later in the song, Billy is featured at home, sitting in darkness, peering fearfully out of the window where paparazzi are waiting for sign of movement, creeping around the outside of the house. More reports are shown "Billy Maddison eats dinner!" and "Billy uses the bathroom!" and he is seen hurrying two young children into a private room in the middle of the house with no windows. "It's okay. You'll be safe here. I promise", he tells them, stroking their hair, as they nod, looking confused and scared.
At the end of the song, Billy heads out to the hospital and on his return is again followed all the way home, being joined by more bustling photographers as he goes, some almost running speeding cars into him to get a close enough picture. They are seen tearing away at his clothes, trying to slow his walk home, until he runs inside, closing the door, clothes torn and dirty. Photographers are still seen scraping their fingers down the glass of the front door, over and over, until their fingers leaves trails of blood. Then a one dollar bill is posted though the door. Billy is then seen having a breakdown, walking through the kitchen smashing things until there is nothing left and slumps to the floor in tears.

However, is this dark music video simply an attack on the media - with whom Maddison made it clear he was annoyed with for disrupting his "away time", or is this electro-pop genre the future avenue for Mr Maddison's music?

"What has happen to Billy Maddison? Did that time away make him lose his fucking mind or something? I feel that people that are famous, shouldn't bitch about getting that attention. I'm very realistic when it comes to the whole media/celebrity status thing. But I kind of understand where Billy is coming from, because if I had kids and a wife I wouldn't want to be followed around, granted I'm probably never gonna have that problem.

On the other topic, if Billy does decide to go electro-pop/techno/Lady Gaga type shit. Then my theory of 93% percent of current music being complete and utter shit, will become a fact.
