Well after 5 years of working at a place I've been laid off. The school/church I work at is building a bigger place much bigger. 12 of us were let go and only 6 were hired back. So I was one of the unlucky ones evn though I was one of the hardest workers there. seems like the lazy people get the jobs. I've never been without a job. So if you had to choose what would you choose?

Truck Driver Or Realtor?

I'm leaning to realtor. I need to do something. blah. it sucks looking for a job. least I have some money saved up.

Realtor as in real estate agent? Dunno how the system works over your way, but you'd want to be pretty good at convincing people if you want to make any money out of it.

I'd go with truck driver because I know how to drive trucks

You're asking the internet?

Eh...

I wanted to be an archeologist, but at 10 I realised that all great archeological discoveries have already been discovered.

I think I'm having that realisation in the past year or so of my life, also.

My ambition and drive seems to swing wildly from obscene (aiming for a career in politics) to non-existent. Which is mildly irritating. So long as I've got enough cash to pay the bills and do fun things though, I'll cope.

I've wanted to be a doctor since I was quite young, and now that I've done the research and got some experience, I'm still totally convinced that medicine is for me (although, now I want to be a surgeon). It doesn't usually work out that way (at least it hasn't for my friends), but then medicine is one that takes a lottt of dedication to see it through..

Pick realtor. Truck driving is a stupid man job. I'm pretty sure if realtor was an open option, you must have had some fairly good education, enough to be better than driving trucks around the country, never being able to have the time to have a family, or a normal home, or even much time to do anything you really want, because driving across many miles/kilometers will be the most of your time spent. Sure, you'd have lots of time to yourself, pondering about various ideas, but there won't really be any point to them other that to not get bored and to forget the fact that you have absolutely no social life. So, if realtor is an option, I'd take that instead of being a truck driver.

Plus, apparently, on average in the US, realtors have more sex than almost any other occupation :p

You've just enraged thousand of truckies across the world...next time your on the road, beware of that big Mack truck swerving suspicously towards you.

Besides been a truck driver isn't confined exclusively to long haul jobs.
