Glamazon is back with her first song "Worship" since the release of her fifth studio album Ashes to Ashes, which featured some of her most personal and emotional work yet. Although it's not the first single to the record, it's a free download track that gives just a taster of some of the new music Glamazon has been working on for the past few months. "I'm not going to say this song gives you a good insight to the sound of the record, because it's all quite eclectic and different, but it's definitely a progression from the last album," she explains.
"Worship" is far from expected from Glamazon and she describes it as one of the more "experimental" songs she worked on for this record, and it shows within its sound. There's a mysterious, slightly mystical feel to the track, mixing in a heavy drum beat, claps, wind chimes and other elements to make a strange, but melodic song that shows both growth as an artist, and also some variety within her discography. Glamazon delivers the lyrics to the verses in spoken word over the powerful drums, before she sings the pre-chorus slowly to build the song up. A choir is then heard in the backing of the chorus while her unique vocals soar over the chorus loudly, giving it more impact in comparison to the spoken verses.
As always, there has to either be some sort of bitterness, sadness or psychoticness in your typical Glamazon song, and she makes sure to deliver on that front. "Worship" is about losing someone in a relationship after having to experience them move to the other side of the world, which puts pressure on the relationship and results in it ending. However, instead of moving on, the heartbroken person develops an unhealthy obsession with the person and ends up psychotically worshipping them as an idol, treating them as if they were God, from the other side of the world, as the distance makes it seem like they're no longer real and human.
"I can definitely confirm that I did not write this song because of my own obsession with anyone," Glamazon confirms with a laugh. "It's my own fucked up, twisted story that I thought of which resulted in the creation of this track, my mind is probably a little worrying to some, but if it helps me to write the craziest of things, I guess it's a wonderful gift."

Shivers every time I hear your name And without you, life just doesn't feel the same The unpredictable days and the long, wild nights Where we used to run and hide from the chasing sunlight Now it's as if you're up in the clouds, you're the wind that blows You're the God of this planet and I want everyone to know
How you're my Jesus, you're my religion I'll take your medicine and you'll be my addiction Forever fixated, and you won't be able to change it Write your name on my heart, and I'll always wear it Cause I kept your love letters and made them my Bible All your records on vinyl, and you're my only idol
So I'll worship you with every bone in my body Every drop of blood, every tear that falls I'll give it all, yeah, I'll surrender it all I'll worship you, and you can have it all The money, the love, everything that I possess You'll forever be cherished until my last breath Until my hands turn numb, these lips turn blue Till this heart stops beating, I'll worship you
And yeah baby, I may be damn crazy, maybe But I've been missing you so bad lately So I'll pray and pray, until this night turns to day Wishing you'd come back and make this pain go away
A blood rush that makes my skin glow red Every time I think of the love made on our old bed Careless and dumb, we were alive and young Lost in Paris, where we didn't know anyone So take me back those cold days in November Passionate nights that I'll always remember
And now you're my Jesus, you're my religion I'll take your medicine and you'll be my addiction Forever fixated, and you won't be able to change it Write your name on my heart, and I'll always wear it Cause I kept your love letters and made them my Bible All your records on vinyl, and you're my only idol
You're just a distant memory that's running away from me Into the back of my mind and trying to break free But I could never forget about all those moments Right before you ran away with all my emotions Now you're just so far away, you could be up in heaven Working away at your kingdom, but I still feel that connection So tell me you're looking down on me Tell me you'll always love me, always guide me
So I'll worship you with every bone in my body Every drop of blood, every tear that falls I'll give it all, yeah, I'll surrender it all I'll worship you, and you can have it all The money, the love, everything that I possess You'll forever be cherished until my last breath Until my hands turn numb, these lips turn blue Till this heart stops beating, I'll worship you
