Man
Location: STALKER!

The shot pans in, no music is playing yet. A man and a teenage girl are arguing, though the dialogue is muted. The girl throws her hands upin a frustrated giving up manner. She walks into her room, her father still yelling at her, she slams her door, and when it closes, the song begins. The shot shows the girl in her room throwing furniture around. It then shows Long Nights playing in a garage with a few teenage onlookers. Ryan begins to sing.

Nobody understands
just what you mean
just what you see
just why you scream
Nobody understands
just what you say
with whom you lay
just why you stay

The shot changes back to the girl in her room, she throws a lamp against a mirror, shattering it. In the reflection of one of the shards, you see the girl gathering things into a backpack then sneaking out her window. The shot begins switching every few seconds with the one of the band in the garage.

So run along little girl
out into the wide world
where you can find a kindred spirit
So run along with your life
you know words hurt worse than any knife
so run alooooooooong

The girl is running down the street, just trying to get as far from the house as possible. The band finishes their performance in the garage and gets into a van with the band logo on the side outside.

Nobody listens
you are too young
you are too dumb
you don't know what you're saying
Nobody listens
What did you say
what did you say
WHAT DID YOU SAY

The girl has now stopped at a bus stop, sitting on a bench she puts her head in hands and begins to cry. She dries her tears, then a look of determination spreads across her face. She takes a flyer off of the telephone pole nearby and writes a message on the back: LA OR BUST.

So run along little girl
out into the wide world
where you can find a kindred spirit
So run along with your life
you know words hurt worse than any knife
so run alooooooooong

The shot then changes to a metal band playing in a club.

Run away, just run away
don't stop, no matter what they say
Just endless miles before you
You can make it
just run aloooooong

While the last note continues, Long Nights comes back in with their part, the girl is hitchiking outside of the club, the band pulls up with their band and lets the girl ride with them.

So run along little girl
out into the wide world
where you can find a kindred spirit
So run along with your life
you know words hurt worse than any knife
so run alooooooooong

Words flash across the screen: 5 YEARS LATER. The shot shows the girl onstage playing guitar and singing before a stadium full of people.

You can do anything
anything you want

So run along little girl
out into the wide world
where you can find a kindred spirit
So run along with your life
you know words hurt worse than any knife
so run alooooooooong
