Tonite marked the opening night of the "Doesn't Mean It's Legal Circus Tour" with headliner Saburben Sunrise, Co-headliner Thunder Road, and special guests The Walls and Infinite! Opening night was at Staples Center in Los Angeles California which is probly the biggest venue that The Walls and Infinite have ever played at... Now here are the reveiws for each band performance.
Opening band-Infinite Rating-***1/2
As the band began to play you could notice the shock of playing for such a large crowed starting to settle in. As the band progressed through their 30 minute set you could tell that they began to become more comfortable on stage and started to lossen up and have fun. For a newer band they were very good despite some nervousness. When they began their opening song the crowd auto-maticly began to dance, clap, and for those who know of them sing along. Infinite sold 50 t-shirts and 95 cd's at the gig which showed that people were very impressed with this young band. Infinite will definitly have a huge carrer and is destined for greatness this is only step 1 for them and if they continue in this direction they will surely be one of the most famous bands of all time!
Second Opener-The Walls Rating-***
When the new band The Walls walked on stage many were confuesed on who they were. As they began to play their opening song "Happy Day's On Elms St." People noticed the song and relized who they are. This is good and bad for the band.(Bad)It shows not many people know their name. (Good) People know their music. Their was alot of nervousness in the voice of James Urie(Lead Singer) which did hold them back. Performance wise the crowd was into and the acrobacs were amazing. The band sold 5 t-shirts and 45 cd's which is not very good for them. This band has the makings to be great but they definnitly need to fix their problems.
Co-headliner-Thunder Road Rating-*****
Thunder Road is back and better than ever. Thunder Road who haven't been very active lately hit the stage with a bang. The band was absolutly amazing. The stadium began to fill up as a bunch of their fans were anxious to see their favorite band. Many fans definitly want to hear newer music from them and want them to continue rocking out. There was only one thing that upset me and that was their sound guy is just terrable. Through out their entire set the guitars were fading in and out along with the Vocals. The band sold an amazing 100 t-shirts and 30 cd's.
Headliner-Saburben Sunrise Rating-*****
There was not an empty seat in the house when Saburben Sunrise came on stage. As the Inroduction played the crowd when crazy many young girls screaming. As the band began to play people were singing and dancing along to the catchy beats and vocals. The band sold 45 t-shirts and 65 cd's. The band also had up for sale their new Cd "Singles and Stuff" which is only availible at the concerts. This band has grown very much threw the past couple of months releasing their first debut full-length album "Doesn't Mean It's Legal." The band has also become better live after the departure of former vocalist Jenny Redwood and Charlie Redwood. This band has shown alot of guts pulling out some of the stunts they showed with the dancers and performers on stage.
Ladies and gentlemen tomrow night right here on VH1 we will be showing you the live taping from opening night of "Doesn't Mean It's Legal Tour" at 8 pm PC and 10 ET |
