TOM PETTY AND THE HEARTBREAKERS NEW ALBUM MOJO is one hell of an album! It is a beautiful mix of rock and blues. Mike Campbells guitar work is fantastic! Tom and the band are on fire on all 15 tracks.
The opening song Jefferson Jericho Blues sets the mood for this awesome blues injected album. The duel guitar and harmonica arrangement just makes me want to drive 20 over the speed limit. The song ends with a classic Heartbreakers sound. Good Enough is a song that has a Led Zeppelin edge and a Tom Petty flare. The way Petty delivers his lines is very soothing and reminds me when I drove through the heartland of America during the summer season of 06.
MOJO is a powerfully awesome blues/rock album that reminds us why Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers are one of the best American bands out their. 4 out of 4 stars. |

I dig me some Tom Petty. I'm still hyped up from his performance at the Super Bowl a few years back. That was a good night.

I'm still in limbo about whether I should buy the album or not. I'm not a megafan or anything but I have his Anthology Through The Years album. |
