Started in 2006 in Portland Oregon, Cycle is essentially 24 year old Walker Boyd's solo project. Fusing a electronica sound with characteristics of Ska, Reggae, Blues, and Rock creates Cycle's distinctive sound. For the past few years Cycle has released two EP's that became local hits. Boyd is currently writing a full length album that he wants to release in some way later this year.

Boyd was born on November 8th 1985 in Ashland Oregon. When he was 14 he picked up a guitar and began playing in some local bands in Portland where he went to highschool. He soon mastered bass also, and in 2006 he started Cycle as a solo instrumental project. As the band he was in at the time fell apart he began writing songs with lyrics and singing. In high school he listened to alot of 311, Incubus, and that kind of stuff. Those influences are evident in his music.
