Cristina Lake is looking for a producer for her debut album, Nola. She plans to release her debut album in July and has already almost finished recording the album, the next step in the process is to hire a producer to help fine tune the album. The album has been recorded in New York so therefore the producer would have to be able to travel to New York on short notice, unless of course they already live in New York.OOC: If your interested please either PM me or reply to this thread, thanks |

Cristina Lake has confirmed that the producer of her debut album Nola will be both Ryan Filkins and Jason Smith, It was rumoured during the early process of recording the album that Max Armstrong would produce the album along with Cristina Lake, but that doesn’t appear to be the direction Cristina wanted to go in on her debut.
She’s met Jason Smith a couple of times in the past and cites his vast music experience as one of the main reasons why she had chosen him saying “Yeah he‘s in a metal band and that’s what he‘s mostly known for but the guys produced some really kick ass records and he‘s gonna do a great job, just because he‘s in a metal band doesn‘t mean that this record will be in anyway Metal, it‘s an alternative pop record and I‘m really happy to have him on board.” He has vast experience in producing albums including Minds seminal records The Juggernaut and The Aeronaut, he has also produced Sonic Overload by Brandish Your Knife and has also been working on his solo record Realm which is yet to be released, his band Mind have been highly rated and are one of the biggest metal bands around.
The co-producer will be Ryan Filkins, He attended Berklee College of Music, in Boston, Massachusetts, and graduated in 2001 with a major in Music Production and Engineering and a minor in Contemporary Writing & Production. Filkins is currently in-studio working with Ryan Ross Hernandez for his yet to be titled third studio album to be released this fall. He was recently announced as a member of Ryan Ross Hernandez's latest musical endeavour, The Heroes of Love & Other Drugs, as a multi-instrumentalist for their debut album which is scheduled to be released late this year or early 2011. Filkins is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, and has toured with Ryan Ross Hernandez.
He worked on PANIC! Albums Nobody Puts Baby In The Corner, The Final Baby In The Corner, Broken Down On Memory Lane and has also worked on Ryan Ross Hernandez albums Matters Of The Heart and Dark Secret Love and has also worked with Ashley Perry on Songs Meet Heartbeats.
Cristina said this about Ryan’s credentials “He’s very experienced with PANIC!, Ryan Hernandez and Ashley Perry, he’s a great all round music guy, he can play a crazy amount of instruments, he’s a great writer and he’s fantastic at producing. I’m very happy to have him on board for the album.” |

Jason: I am ecstatic to be involved in this. Cristina is a really talented young artist and she's gonna make it big. It'll also be good for me to spread out my wings a bit, and have a go at producing a highly anticipated pop record. |
