YASMIN STORME - just another what now!?
Yasmin Storme is a new musician who will make her debut appearance on the 'DBM (Driven By Memory)' collaboration single, as joint lead vocalist/guitarist.
"It's tough - I'm not sure whether the spotlight will be on me because I'm Raven Comatose's sister, or off me because there are so many more established female artists," says Storme, who is 21 years old. "I'm not a copy of those other girls, I'm different - just like everyone else! I'm not up for catfighting over 'you're just generic pop', or the worst of all, 'you totally sold out'. Well, I hope not!" She laughs. "I'm very laid back, and hope to stay that way."
"I'm glad that I'm making my debut on a collaboration, I'm really lucky to have all my big sister's connections. So many awesome co-workers. I love the song - it was actually written back in the '90s, I found the piece of paper with the lyrics and tabs in an old school book of Raven's. Total genius. They put me up front because I know Raven's work from those days best - I'm not the new Raven, only Raven can be Raven .... anyway. Back to music stuff!"
