The rock legends The Bards have announced that they have officially retired! After 17 albums and over twenty singles The Bards have said that they are pleased with their current place in the music industry.

"We want to thank all our fans who have supported us through out the years. We will be stepping down. We have been mentoring this band we found out in LA. And we are happy to give them our full attention. This has been a wild and awesome ride but we will be tucking away our instruments for a suit and tie and we will eventually be opening up a recording studio. This doesn't mean we wont be releasing any of our unreleased stuff, we will, of course. But we will not be recording or touring. We will help other bands that come to us. We'll sort of be a godfather figure for bands that needs assistance. We love this music community and will always help it, because in the end it was YOU that helped us. With much love and appreciation we thank you from the bottom of our hearts."
