A photo shoot for the new album which shows Nadia's new blonde hair.

Nadia is often recognised as the old lead singer of pop group sensation GirlSpice and was often identified as the most popular member back then due to her more outrageous attitude compared to other group members. Nadia then was kicked out of the group by the rest of the girls due to a lot of backlash from media and even fans because of the way she was behaving towards the other group members and also others in the music industry. Nadia has since then had a public breakdown, was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and even faked her own death and then made a huge return to the industry with comeback album The Return which sold close to 3 million copies worldwide. Now, Nadia reveals all in an upcoming interview with OK! Magazine about her new look, sound, bipolar disorder and life, below is a short snippet of the interview with the magazine which will be available soon.

Quote:
Q: You've been away for a while and now you're back with new blonde hair and a new sound, why did you decide for this new look and sound?

A: I think the dark hair kinda reminded me of a dark time in my life, I had dark hair for way too long and as I'm in a good place now, I can kinda have a more brighter hair colour to reflect on where I am now in my life. Some will say that the blonde hair is more suited for some bubblegum pop teen singer but I'm kinda doing the opposite, the last album was about rebelling and was mostly pop, dance and a little rock. Now, I'm really going all out with the rock sound, the album has a very strong pop rock sound now, some are quite powerful songs with a lot of attitude and others are just really mellow acoustic tracks, there's a great mix and I can't wait for everyone to hear my new sound.

Q: We've heard reports that you regret doing your album The Return, is this true?

A: It kinda is, I don't really like it anymore! And you know I released my debut album a few years ago right after I left GirlSpice and that was atrocious as well... so I've got two albums I don't like, it's not good!! That's why I had to take such a long time out to actually make a quality record and I've got that now, THANK GOD! (laughs)

The lead single to her upcoming album is titled "Flatline" which Nadia describes in her OK! Magazine interview.

Quote:
Q: We've heard your new single "Flatline" and it's very different for you! It's very loud and uptempo but the vocals sound very emotional, what's it all about?

A: It's actually about me losing a really close friend who I lost only a few months ago, I still get really emotional talking about it but the song helped me through the tough time that I was going through and was a way to express how I was feeling and I think you can definitely hear the emotion in the vocals. It's quite an angry song, very loud and a lot rockier in sound compared to anything that I've done before and I'm sure many who have lost a close friend or family member will be able to relate to the song.

Ronny: If your future laid in your hair color, then I'm really worried for most of the hard rock and metal bands out there. But with that aside, true. Good music takes time to do, or alot of booze. Have to admit I'm curiouse of how this will turn out. I'll keep an eye on you.
