OOC: So, I am going to finish off what I started here. I left before I could finish this RP, but I'm back, and its gonna get done. Some of the people may not actually be RP'ing those bands that are nominated anymore, but lets try and do it to the best of our abilities!

@CHAOS Awards I - Nominations Announced

Good evening ladies and gents, welcome to @Chaos HQ once again. As you all know, we had intended to do these awards for quite a while. You all nominated, and then we fucked off. Lolsoz! Haha im kidding.

But we are back for real this time. And here are the nominations for each award.

Scott - Editor - @C

OOC: I'll announce one at a time throughout tonight, and then tell you how to vote!

BEST NEWCOMER:

Cristina Lake

Long Nights

VirbelluM

Junkhead

Dormant Fusion

Infinite

OOC: Hey you left before I came here and a lot of the artists nominated here may not even be so active and some of the new comers who are very active at this time should take part in this too, I thought it would be better to start from scratch since this was all the way back n July and 5 months have passed. But, just a suggestion :) If yu were to start it again, ill def take part in it =)

OOC: You are right, of course, my friend. BRING IN THE DUMPTRUCK!!! Take this shit away boys. Lets start again.

@CHAOS AWARDS I - DATE + VENUE TBC

Good evening ladies, gents and lady-gents! Oh and of course Mr Capps...cant forget those straggly in-between sorts, no discrimination here at this magazine! My name is Scott, and I am your @Chaos Magazine editor! We have summoned you all here tonight for a special special announcement.

So far, this magazine has had a storming circulation of around 40,000 copies! This is beyond an amazing achievement and really bodes well to the future of the music magazine industry...so a huge huge thanks to anyone and everyone who bought, stole, borrowed or blagged a copy of issue 1, and we hope you come back for more next month!

Anyway, I digress, back to our big announcement...it has been no secret over the last week or so, that we have a desire to unleash an awards show into the industry to at least attempt to rival the brilliant spectacle that is the Birdies. So, I stand here before you tonight to tell you, in an official capacity, that the first @CHAOS AWARDS will be taking place sometime in the near future. This is an absolute guarantee and despite having no solid date or venue as of yet, we are 100% going ahead with what will doubtless be the biggest challenge of our collective life.

So, without any further interruption or bullshit from me, here is the format and rules for the first @CHAOS AWARDS....oh and the first stage is now officially OPEN!!!

Cheers and have a good night, champagne's on me!

-Scott- Ed - @Chaos

The Format

-The @Chaos Awards will operate on a three stage format.

- Stage One (this stage) will involve the nominations of all the bands and artists for various available awards.

- Stage Two will involve the panel of, ahem, "experts" choosing the winners from the lists of nominees.

- Stage Three is the actual awards show on the night, when we all find out who wins!

The Rules - Stage One

- OK, so this is important right now. We use this thread for PLUGGING only. Each of you may plug as many of your own artists for as many awards as you like. As with the Birdies before this, IT DOES NOT GUARANTEE YOU A NOMINATION! Just tell us in this thread why you believe each of your artists should win whichever award you are plugging them for...simples (squeak)

- The other required element of this stage, of course, is the nominations themselves...YOU MUST PM ME YOUR NOMINATIONS, DO NOT POST THEM HERE. Everyone is free to nominate in this stage. Just copy n paste the list of categories and tell me which artist you wish to nominate for each one. THE STRICT RULE IS THAT YOU CANNOT NOMINATE ANY OF YOUR OWN ARTISTS! Anyone doing so will have all of their nominations voided.

- All nominated artists will be announced in the next issue of @CHAOS, due out in two weeks time, you will have to read it to find out if you are nominated for any awards(see what I did there? ;) ).

The Categories

Probably quite important now to mention these. We do have a lot of them, more than the Birdies, and I've probably bitten off more than I can chew, but fuck it, I'll give it a go!

Best Live Artist - Blood Of Wecz - http://www.therockstarga....aspx?g=posts&t=4331 - Blood Of Wecz were voted as the overall WINNERS of the Delta Tau Battle of The Bands 4! Read the final thrilling performance at the the link over there that I just posted.

Icon Award - Blood Of Wecz - http://www.therockstarga....aspx?g=posts&t=1841

Fifteen albums and 20 years later, Blood Of Wecz have been a death metal stalwart band for a huge chunk of their careers. They have influenced many bands such as Mind, Black Gold Reign and many many more. Never changing from their trademark sound and always hitting hard and having fun, Blood OF Wecz shaped the genre in which they excelled for so long, until the tragic death of their lead singer Scott H. They were death metal's true icons until the very end, and they let everyone know it!

Best Band - Mind

With 4 critically hailed albums that appeal both to metal purists and a mainstream audience, Mind are a true revelation in metal. Shattered Fairytale is currently being applauded as one of the true great heavy metal albums of the 21st century (OOC: sshhhyeah.) and they hope they can live up to it with their newest album that has recently been completed and is to be released soon, Dream Serpent.

Best Performance in Alternative Music - Mind

Best Live Artist - Mind

You know a band has made it when they reach the finals of the Delta Tau Battle of the Bands. Mind did just that not too long ago by coming third, eventually losing out to legendary death metallers Blood of Wecz, with Reckoner coming in second place. Whilst they let the fans enjoy the music, their stage shows are often extravagent, with fan participation and a flurry of special effects common. There are about to go on a headlining tour with Hellspawn, Seventhsign and Dormant Fusion.

Sexiest Male - Jason Smith

He failed in the Birdies, but he is back with a motherfucking hairy vengeance.

Technical Ecstasy Award - Jason Smith

One of the most diverse musicians in modern rock music. Whether it's guitar playing, producing ambience, or even simple drumming amongst other things (it has to be PRETTY simple though), Jason Smith would probably get the hang of it eventually.
Awards (stroking myself and thinking I'm superior):

Best Album - Shattered Fairytale by Mind
Technical Ecstasy - Jason Smith (x3)

Yound Rap sensation MattY, is one of those people who isn't forgotten too quickly, putting himself about and working all over the shop, MattY has quickly earned himself a reputation with fans and artists alike as a generally nice guy who likes to get the job done to a high standard. With several well known tracks such as Shooting Star (ft. Michelle Green) and Shoot to Kill (ft. Eric Quillington), MattY has proved he can pull off working with big artists from different areas and do it well. Only being around since late July, releasing an album has put MattY out there even further and made him an international success for the Hip-Hop and Grime Industry. MattY is also a big hitter with the teenage girls and has always been a pretty good guy to have on your side.

I'll have a go ....

Best Band : Moronic Changeling
Course you know the ones. These three girls, who have collectively released 13 albums, have been around since the beginning of time. ((OOC : No kidding, longest running current RP artist.)) They've been up and down and all over the place, and are best known for a MILF of a lead singer who loves mashed potato, an impossibly brilliant ninja pirate drummer, wild live shows with memorable gimmicks, and a crazy amount of line-up changes. Musically, you couldn't put them in a box.

Best Band : Firecracker 47
These four madcore misfits - cute and cuddly twins Joshy and Roxy, and former Nightside Bikithans James and Mikki - never really thought they'd get anywhere when they started out. But now, Firecracker 47, especially their angelic-sounding shoe-loving lead singer, have smashed into the music industry and made their name. Best known for calming voices, epic bass and general madness mixed with cuteness, they're worth a vote.

Best Solo Artist (Female) & Best Personality : Kamikaze Kate
She's a politically incorrect teenage slut who can scream, play three chords, get her tits out and perform awesome live shows revolving around bodily fluids. HELLZ YAH.

Best Solo Artist (Female) : Machete
She may not have been around long, but Mache has ruffled a few feathers! When her first single 'Nightside Blonde' had come out, she had already created the Bitch Triangle, and then went on to rally troops for the Metal Revolution. Many bands became interested in this. Musically, Machete's deep, throaty voice, interesting lyrics and love of heavy metal make her sure to be a favourite in no time.

Best Solo Artist (Female) : Bri Kildare
Brigid used to be known as the girl who made the Gillians bassist make zombie sperm on Big Member .... now, she's something else. She's mysterious, a beautiful stranger, extremely musically talented (she plays a lot of instruments, her favourite being the flute). Her first single 'Sway', a duet with chaste life partner Joshy Firecracker, set a new benchmark for more delicate pop music.

Best Solo Artist (Female) & Best Newcomer : Yasmin Storme
Following in Raven and Kahlen's footsteps, the youngest girl in the Storme family is ready to make her own individual mark on the industry. We don't know yet what she'll bring to the table, but she's sounding good so far on her debut, which is leading the DBM collaboration single 'Behind Misty Sky'.

Sexiest Male & Sexiest Female (not all of them deserve it, but meh) ....
UserPostedImage
1. Kaethe Jenkins; 2. Somerset Bissell; 3. Nick Biggs; 4. Lukey Comatose; 5. Jimmy Bishop
6. Joshy Firecracker; 7. Roxy Firecracker; 8. James Kairiri; 9. Mikki Moo; 10. Katie Kairiri
11. Kamikaze Kate; 12. Machete; 13. Bri Kildare; 14. Yasmin Storme
.... bigger pictures if they get to second round. ;]

Best Personality : Joshy Firecracker
What makes Joshy sparkle is that he always puts other people first, and is prepared to go to extremes for them, eg. the Molotov. He's always smiling and fun to be around, and STILL obsessed with shoes despite the fact that he can't walk. What's not to love about this guy?

Best Personality : Barsteward
If you've ever had a drink at The Dirty Bastard, you know this guy's worth your vote. He rawks it. ;P

Technical Ecstasy : Nick Biggs (drums // Moronic Changeling)
Moronic and former Madbird Nickola 'Nick' Biggs has shown and shocked the world with her musical ability. Nick plays five kits (firmly duct-taped together) and co-ordinates all four limbs (and occasionally her head) to do the best she can - and never plays a bum note, she knows what she's doing. Being as she's only 4'10" and her 'main' kit is bigger than her, she leaps around like she has all the energy in the world. A delight to listen to and watch, and an inspiration to female musicians.

Special Contribution : Katie Kairiri
Katie started out working at Rekordfirma van Mouschi, before taking over The Dorc. She did some time co-owning Midnight/Mythic Records and DVI Records (the biggest labels ever), later forming her own company, Delta Tau Entertainment, which has run four Battle Of The Bands, seven Mashfests, four Madcore Tours, and all the post-Lewis Mason Birdies. Katie was also head producer at Kirsty Studios, where most of the albums of the DBM, CBM, etc. artists (the 'Power Three' being Moronic Changeling, Emma Blunt and K.I.C.K.A.R.S.E.) were recorded. Katie has also had her hand in the film industry, directing four films - 'PATHofCATandBLOODofLIFE', 'Pop Tarts', 'My Immortal' and 'Fierce'. She currently manages Firecracker 47, and is the vice-president of the revival of DBM. Erm .... worth a vote, maybe!?

Icon : Jakey Comatose
If anyone else wins, Sophy-Cat will get you. (She's scarier than The Purger. She's a suicide bomber. With syphilis.)

That's almost all quoted from my last post, except for artwork/album/single which I'll update with recent stuff soon OK?

The Most looked forward to single Subtle Distractions, was from the most exciting prospects Fathers of Fury. The boys rose into mainstream success in early september with their unfortunate loss in a battle of the bands competition. But thanks to Jake Wilson, the boys were signed to Junciton Records. Fathers of Fury had several performances up and down the UK to promote their debut single, with each performance gaining more and more fans. The boys are thougt to be among the brightest new talent on the block, and with frontman Jack Straw, how could you go wrong?

Michelle Green

Most 16 year old girls at this time are enjoying their freshman, sophomore years in High School, however this blond headed vocal powerhouse, Michelle Green is enjoying her time at the top of the Top 20 charts and charts all over the world. At just 16 and being in the musical industry for about 5 months, this folk music making female already has already made a #1 Top Airplay Hit. Releasing her first single "Fifteen" about coming of age and believing in yourself in August. It peaked at # 2 on the Airplay Chart which isn't common for a debut single - that single went on to go Platinum In the U.K months later. Following the success of "Fifteen" her next single released was "Dark Days" in September and guess what? That single shot to #1 on the Top Airplay chart making Michelle Green one of the only females in the music industry to have her debut and sophomore singles debut in the top two of that chart. She also recived a critical acclaim for her debut album The Voice of Me which is pure Alternative Pop, Folk, and Folk Rock music which people have grown to love. Another thing people have grown to love is Michelle's voice, running into collaborations with The Bards, Stacey Walton and Matty.

Best Band and Best Performance in Alternative Music: Reckoner
Reckoner have proven themselves to be one of the best newcomers back in the IMAs when they snatched two out of the three awards they have been nominated for namely the Best Newcomer and Best Live Act. Now Reckoner are back and they are better than ever, seriously. The band's complex style of music and continuous innovation of sound has gained them respect from legendary musicians like Regan Futrell, Jakey Comatose, the late Scott H. and many more. Their sophomore album Backstabber has been praised by critics and even charted in numerous regions gaining the band's 1st number one spot in the US, now all those who said the band were only one hit wonders with Invisible were put to shame. The band shocked the world when they released their third and final studio album Everything X, showing how diverse their musical preferences are. The single Catalyst Analyst has been praised for being Reckoner's greatest musical piece yet. Reckoner also never disappoint when it comes to pleasing their fans since they deliver great performance after great performance even earning the 2nd place at the previous Delta Tau Battle of the Bands and garnering generally positive reviews for their All Around The World Tour. Also, this is the last time they would be nominated as a band since they have gone their separate ways. Give the band a chance to be recognized for their contributions to the industry and help them win this award.

Best Solo Artsit (Female)- Tisha Jackson has sold over 55 million records worldwide. However selling all of those records Tisha doesn't want to be recongnized in that way. "I want to be recognized as an entertainer, someone who can do it all. I have lyrical content in my song. I cater to the fans so they can get their monies worth. And if you don't have that in this buisness, then what do you have.

Best Performance in Mainstream Music - Flashy Lights (Pose For The Camera) Feat. Glamazon is single performed by Tisha Jackson and Glamazon can be heard on the remix version, which the two performed together on the Legend Awards. The single has sold 1.6 million copies worldwide and has reached the Top 20 and Top 10 in all regions.

Best Album- I AM...BEAUTIFULLY HUMAN. Even though all of her fans are awaiting to the follow up to Tisha's last album I AM...BEAUTIFULLY HUMAN, she has decided to take her time with the album. To let the album write itself and speak for itself, but fans can expect to hear something new by the end of the year beginiing of next year. I AM...BEAUTIFULLY HUMAN has sold ove 7 million copies worldwide including sales from it's re-release in June. The album has charted in the TOP 5 and Top 10 in all regions.

Best Album-Besides selling 2.7 million copies, O'Bryan Richmond's debut album, The Autobiography of O'Bryan Richmond has become one of the best R&B/Hip-Hop albums of the year. The album has dealt with issues that O'Bryan has seen up close and personal. It is his stamp for the rest of of the world to show them issues that everday people have experienced. And he also helps the popel cope with all they have experinced with this album.

Best Single-Slow Jam-O'Bryan Richmond (Featuring.Alicia Lena)- This is the smoothest song on The Autobiography of O'Bryan Richmond. It sereved as O'Bryan's third single off the album. Accompaied with a sexy video. There is no doubt that O'Bryan and his superstar girlfriend Alicia Lena have alot of heavy chemistry.
