Alec chuckles. "Uh, no. Everclear is legal. It's absinthe that's illegal... I have some of that, but that's not a first date thing." He takes a sip of his drink. "I only give some absinthe to girls I really like."

Alec smirks. "You're just not drinking it right then," He says back with a small eye roll. He walks over to his stereo in the corner of the living room and looks through the CDs he has next to it. "What kind of music do you like then, smarty pants?"

Alec shrugs and takes a CD from the stand and puts it in. Barbra Streisand comes playing through the speakers. "I pride myself on being probably one of the few men that likes Streisand and women..." He says as he takes a sip of his drink and goes to sit down again.

Alex was lying in the living area listening to some of his favourite records on vinyl whilst Ansley was out. He had a lot of things clouding his mind and didn't know if he really meant them or whether it was all in the moment. He heard Ansley come in the door and makes his way out to greet her. There was already a strange sort of tension between the two, they hadn't spent much time together recently. "Hey, how was work?" Alex began making his way back to the sofa, encouraging Ansley to follow him.

Alex sat down and nodded along to Ansley. It was hard for him to concentrate on what she was saying because his mind was elsewhere. "That doesn't sound too cool." He turns the music off and sits down, looking at her. "So, ah, I think we should about stuff." He looks away before turning back to Ansley. "How, uh, do you know Scott?"

"Oh, cool, that must be nice." Alex just shakes his head then looks at her. "Okay, let's not beat around the bush. What's going on between me and you?" He stares at her directly into the eyes before turning away and looking back.

"Nah, you haven't done anything wrong. It's been mostly me. I don't know anymore." He awkwardly laughs before rubbing his eyes with his hands. "I'm a jealous bastard. I am. I assume things way too much. Don't worry about Veronica by the way, it's understandable. Alex noted the change in Ansley's tone, "So, where do we go from here?"

"The Scott thing on twitter, I really shouldn't have acted the way I did." He slides his hand across the sofa and sets it on her leg. "I don't really want to lose you." He looks up and smiles at her. The smiles quickly drains from his face as he opens his mouth again. "But, I do need to move back to LA for a while."

"It was stupid of me to think. It's just, we kinda grew apart.. I didn't know what to think." He bites his lower lip and scratches his head. "I don't know how long. I just know it's something I need to do. I've completely lost my way since I got here. All i've done is sit about the house and pop to the bar." He squeezes her leg gently to get her to look at him in the eye. "I will be back. I do love you Ansley."
