Alec sighs and takes a long drag off of his cigarette, not sure how to approach that question. He wanted to be honest - he wanted to tell her that no matter what, he still loved her, and that that would probably never change. He also wanted to tell her how much she hurt him and how, if she were any other person, he would never speak to her again. But instead, he just nods. "You're always going to be amazing, Honor. You're always going to amaze me in some way."

Alec laughs a little as well. As much as he knew that he should be angrier with Honor, he couldn't be. And he definitely couldn't bring himself to express the anger that he did have towards her. She was still Honor, no matter how much she hurt him, and he would never have the ability to hate her. "I know, I'm sorry. What do you want me to say? You're a whore and I hate you?" He asks jokingly, shaking his head. He raises his hands when she starts apologizing. "Don't. Don't apologize. I know you're sorry. You wouldn't have come here if you weren't." He give her a small smile. "So where do we go from here? Is this the last time I'm going to see you?"

"I don't want you to keep your distance. I mean, we both live in LA again. There's no point in acting like the other one doesn't exist. I just don't know what you want. Or what... Kai wants," Alec says back, obviously having a hard time dealing with the fact that they're now having to factor Kai into their potential friendship.

"Well, if he's okay with it, then I'm okay with it," Alec says honestly. Even though he had very little respect for Kai at this point, he wouldn't do the same thing that Kai did it him and go behind his back to spend time with Honor - even though their relationship would be a friendship and not the cheating variety. Alec holds out his hand to shake, not really sure what else to do in this situation. "Friends?"

Alec knew he was seeming awkward, but he had never been in a situation like this before. It was difficult for him to battle the real emotions he still felt towards her - the love, the passion, the wanting - while still wanting to maintain a friendship with her. After they shake hands, he puts out his cigarette. "Do you want some wine?" he asks, glancing towards his kitchen. "Or do you need to go soon?"

"No, no, never trying to get rid of you. I just wasn't sure if you had anything else going on today," Alec says back with a grin. He stands up and walks into the kitchen, still seeing into the living room and listening to Honor. "Judgement Day, huh? That sounds dark and mysterious. What's going on on Sunday?" he asks as he opens a new bottle of wine and pours both of them a glass.

Alec listens, nodding when she asks if he knows who Erica Hess is. He did, but only by association. "Yeah, I saw that little spat between you two and her," he says. "The person that you date becomes an extension of who you are. If your friends don't like who you're dating, then they're either not good friends, or you're just dating the wrong person. Either way, something needs to change." He brings the wine back into the living room and hands Honor her glass. "And that's not just advice for you. That would be the advice I'd pass on to her as well, if I knew her well enough to feel comfortable imparting my wisdom to her." He gives her a little wink back. "I'll hold you to that promise."

"Well, you're doing the mature thing in wanting to talk to her about it rather than just sitting on all that anger and guilt. So brava to you." Alec grins, watching her down the wine. "You know, with wine, you're supposed to sip... you know, enjoy..." He says, laughing, taking her glass. "Do you want more? And I know you won't be to me. In general, I'm probably going to be the coolest friend you've ever had, so you can't be shitty to me." He winks.

"Well, just promise me that if you do end up punching them, you won't, you know, go to jail or anything stupid like that," Alec says back, laughing and shaking his head. He stands up and goes back into the kitchen, refilling Honor's wine glass. "Oh, shit, finally! A friend who can tell me all about fashion! Are the capri pants for men ever going to come into style, or should I get rid of those, because they're taking up an awful lot of room in my closet," Alec asks jokingly as he hands her the glass back.

"Oh, good. Because honestly, I don't think I have the legs for those capris anyway," Alec says back with a laugh. He looks down into his wine when Honor asks him if he ever plans on leaving this place. "Yeah... I'm sure eventually I'll get out of here. I'm not like you, though. I can't just pick up and move. I have to mentally debate about it in my head for two or three years, and then move." He laughs a little again. "Plus, I really like this house. It would take something major to convince me to move somewhere else." He looks over to Honor and smiles. "Why? Where do you plan on going?"
