“I’m pleased to be able to confirm an 18 date US tour in support of my latest studio album ‘Tales From The Heartlands’, the tour will begin on August 11, 2012 at 5th Avenue Theatre in the city that I was born and raised in, Seattle, Washington and will continue across the country throughout August and into early September in various cities throughout the United States before returning to Seattle for the two penultimate shows and a final performance at the Hollywood Bowl, Hollywood, California. There are plans to take the tour into Europe for a number of weeks in September but no dates are confirmed for that particular leg of the tour currently. The material performed throughout these concert dates will be drawn heavily from my upcoming album ‘Tales From The Heartlands’ but I will also be selecting a large number of songs from my previous works too, I will be joined by a supporting band that consists of – JR Rhythm (lead guitars), Moe Z (bass guitar, slide guitar), Sarah Jade Harrison (piano, guitars, backing vocals) and Anthony Browne (drums, percussion).
There is already one supporting act confirmed for the tour to be announced in the near future and we’re looking for an additional supporting act that can hopefully fit in with the style of music on show. Expect more announcements in the lead up to the tour opener, tickets go on sale 12:00am via Chaos Records official website and Live Nation.
Until next time, adieu”
~
Brandon Caulfield

OOC: Looking for one more supporting act, preferably someone along the alternative/indie genre, PM me if you’re interested :)

OOC: I think I could extend the tour Johnny's on right now. But that would include just the September dates. He's pretty much going down the east coast right now. If you could squeeze in an extra Tennessee date we could do some kinda special one night only thing. It'd be a cool way for them to get to know and meet each other. He already extended an invite for Brandon to come and play anyway.

OOC: Sure that would work out pretty well, I'd be happy to have him join in on Johnny's tour, I'd definitely be up for doing a one night only type of show between the two, sounds good!

OOC: Awesome. I think Memphis should be the spot for them too hook up. That or Nashville. The Ryman would be an awesome place for them to play together for a big one night only thing. I also wanna have Johnny and Brandon sit down with each other for the interview show I'm doing. This could be the start of a two man super group. They have similar tastes and would fit well playing together.

OOC: Yeah it sounds good to me, Nashville would be great for it, I'm more than happy for them to do the show too, I like the idea of two musicians discussing things together and then performing together, rather than a standard interview, just PM me with the details and such, yeah I think the super group thing would be awesome since like you say they have a lot of musical similarities and styles, I'm more than happy to take part

BRANDON CAULFIELD PLANS HIS RETURN TO TOURING!

“The news that many Brandon Caulfield fans have been hoping for can finally be announced as the Americana singer-songwriter has confirmed a string of “warm-up” tour dates to take place from the end of May into mid-June. It’s the first time that Caulfield will have performed live since last September’s US tour in support of his previous studio album ‘Tales From The Heartlands’ and will also mark the first time that the musician has performed live since the becoming a father in February.
These newly announced tour dates will take place in a number of medium sized theaters and small amphitheaters throughout the U.S.A in preparation for a potential “full-scale world tour” later in the year that will support a brand new studio album which is expected to be released by Chaos Records at some stage in the Autumn.
But for now, fans can purchase tickets to these low-key events from this coming Friday.”

“Greetings to everybody out there! I hope you’re keeping well

As many of you are aware, I’m currently travelling on the road alongside various odd characters from the world of music as part of the No Venues Tour. It’s been a challenging few months for me as I’m sure it has for many of the other musicians taking part on this trek, it began in Asia back in August, onto Australia and New Zealand then back home in North and Central America and currently we’re in Europe. Prague to be exact, it’s a truly stunning city and I’ve been blessed to have visited some truly beautiful cities in the past couple of months. But there’s a much more beautiful place for me to visit as this tour comes to its conclusion in November.
Right now, home is where I long to be, I can no longer deal with seeing my beautiful children Caleb and Charlotte growing in the form of daily photographs, it’s a heart-wrenching feeling to be so far away from them and I’m counting down the days until I get to see them both again. The internal conflict between work and family continues to prove difficult to manage but I’m confident in saying that I will be taking the next few months to catch up on valuable missed time. After this tour has finished, it may be a good five or six months before I perform live again, so I’m hopefully that you will be able to come out to some of the remaining shows on the tour and make it as memorable as possible.

But I’m positive that you all understand the need to take time out and catch up with the ones that I hold dearest in my heart and this will be a much needed break, so I’m making a promise and I’m putting it out there that I won’t be sneaking out to my recording studio at the earliest hours of the morning to lay down a track that I’ve been creating in my mind, no instead I’ll be burying myself in the love and adoration of my family. It’ll be nice to have a home once again.
But I have been working on my fourth studio album since last year, I’ve recorded easily over 60 songs in the past year, what’s left to do is to try to find sort of semblance of balance and internal connection between the songs that will dictate the theme and the tone of what will become my next studio album. I’ve been sitting on this record for a while now and I’ve been desperate to finally get it released, I’m certain that everything is set to go and I know that you’ve heard songs from it already in the form of ‘Arizona’ and ‘Nightbirds Are Flyin’, I must thank you for your support as I heard they both topped the charts, that’s quite a feat for a nobody.
I have more than just an update however, I can confirm that the title of my fourth studio album will be called ‘Some Roads Lead To Nowhere’ but what’s more, is the fact that I have the album artwork for you all to feast upon. Take a look;

UserPostedImage

That’s not the only news though, despite the fact that I will be hiding myself away for the next short while, I do promise to bring you new music as often as I possibly can, I have the next single ready to be released, it’s a track called ‘The Fine Art Of Growin’ Old’ and it features a hugely beautiful and talented musician called Ellie-Grace Summers, I’m sure you’ve all heard of her work and I hope that you look forward to hearing the song. I had an enjoyable time working on the song with her and hope to head into a recording studio with her again at some point. I don’t have information on any release dates and just ask that you sit tight and remain patient.
So I hope that this update is enough to tide you over until the real work begins again.
Thank you for your time.

- Brandon Caulfield

Where I Lay My Head - North American Tour 2014

“Is there anybody alive out there?!

Greetings to all of those that have managed to stick around this long, I commend you all! I’m not one for constant updates and such like, I just think you can become too familiar sometimes. Nobody wants to be that guy that’s just there, constantly, right?! Well, anyhow, it’s been an interesting series of events that have led myself down this way. The last year has been one that has been quite the learning curve, to say the very least, the majority of which has been spent at home trying to figure out how to do the whole father thing, as ill-equipped as I may be, I’m gonna go out on a limb and say I just may be getting the hang of it, I think anyway.
But aside from that new challenge, I’ve constantly found myself putting things on the back burner and allowing opportunities pass me by, I have however managed to churn out a new record, back in December I released ‘Some Roads Lead To Nowhere’ but the opportunity to support that record hasn’t been something that I’ve had time to figure out, I’m not gonna lie, I wouldn’t hold my breath on the possibility of releasing more singles from the record, I feel unwilling, and instead I will head out on the road once more and support the record the old-fashioned way, by playing it live.
I’ll be starting out in San Diego, California on April 27 and I’ll be accompanied by my wonderfully skilled backing band, I’ll also have Johnny McDougall joining me on the venture and he’ll be kicking off proceedings on a nightly basis as well as joining me onstage for a couple of songs. Along the way there is sure to be some friends making the occasional appearance onstage with myself, so find the tour dates below and I hope to see your faces out there!
