OOC: It's Saturday Afternoon, and I'm bored. So I created an idea based on Tim Schafer's game Brutal Legend and Lord of the Rings. It's made for other to enjoy and be a part of, like an RP within an RP. Here it is:
IC:
Imagine Earth and its continents divided by genres. Each Continent is based on a Base Genre and each of the Continent's countries/states are based on a sub-genre of the base.
North America - Pop -- Authoritarian Utopia
Sub: UK - Hip/Rap
South America - Rock -- Atompunk
Sub: Punk, Soft etc.
Europe - Metal -- Steampunk
Sub: Progressive
Asia - Indie -- Nanopunk
Africa - Experimental -- Tribal
Australia - Electronica - Cyberpunk
Antarctica - ?????
With each of the Continents comes a subgenre of Science Fiction and a genre of music.
The strongest continent is currently Pop by a landslide due to its recent partnership with the strong country of Rap. The only thing keeping the second strongest Rock Continent from toppling them is the fact that the country is in a constant state of civil war. The third strongest Metal Continent can't keep up either due to its constantly waring denizens and the fact that it doesn't have a Grand Army, only many smaller armies. Electronica Continent is tied with Metal Continent as the third strongest but it's hardly strongest enough to battle the continent of Pop. The latter two Continents Indie and Experimental are both allied and have the largest forces out of any continent but don't have the technological advances to beat Pop.
So yeah...I'll probably make another post about a character struggling in a country or something but post whatever you want and yeah.

OOC-HAHA, this is amusing. I'd say your assesments were pretty spot on in terms of the music. But I was really dissapointed, because the title gave off a much different impression.............. Edited by user 24 April 2011 10:50:39(UTC)
