Bettie: I'm nervous! This is my first interview.
Nt:it'll be easy.I'm not going to ask you stuff like,how would you negotiate peace in the middle east? First off,just what the heck is a star chief?
Bettie: good,..... its an old car made by Pontiac.
Nt; any special reasoning behind the name?
Bettie;um,not really.
Nt: dont be afraid to elaborate,we aren't going to charge you by the word.
Bettie; OK....well,i always liked the name.it sounds so....whiz bang space age and stuff.yet,unmistakably 1950's.
Nt: whats the main idea behind the star chiefs?
Bettie:i dont know. i think they were a lower priced version of some Chevrolet car.
Nt:not the cars,your band.
Bettie:oh,sorry! I'm really nervous and dont want to come off as an air head...we wanted to make "good" female fronted psychobilly.when i go out there,i dont try to be cute or sexy.i just sing.
Nt:you do realize how much cleavage you have on display?
Bettie:* laughs* never hurts to have a back up plan.seriously though,i want people to know me for my work.not on my level of attractiveness.nobody talks about the meteors and mentions how handsome Paul or Nigel are.why should it matter once a singer possesses ovaries?
