After releasing her critically acclaimed album, Different Elements (Of Chloe), which was an album very special to certain artists, and Chloe herself because it proved that Chloe must just be the most versatile artist out there. She took a huge step fusing Hip Hop/Pop/R&B and Rap not to mention elements of Rock and Alternative music into one album that seemed to all make so much sense, and sound so good together, that the label start talking a re-release. The album also had a chain of highly successful singles and releases including Cupids Twin, He's Gonna Cry, Tales From The Crazy Mouth, and her highest charting single to date, W.T.F featuring Miss Vanity, hot prospect and some-what newcomer to the industry, Chloe slaps us in the face once again with new single 'Losing My Religion' which will be the lead single release leading up to her confirmed re-release of her debut album sometime in May/June.
Losing My Religion brings Chloe into a darker genre of music that she has never "swam" into yet. Penning down her most edgy and very sinister and dark/industrial pop song that is also very awakening. The beat is very quick and intimidating beat similar to Lady Gaga's Judas, leading up to the soft, high toned chorus. Chloe's voice sounds better than ever as she belts out the chorus and infectiously rap-sings the bridge.
Verse 1When he pinned me down I could just scream
Uh (Ah!!)
Punching, Kicking, Slapping his boday [body*]
Could never forgive him for this dirty scene
Even if he tried to kiss my whole boday-yah[body*]
HookLosing it so slowly ah, losing it so slowly-ah
I'm not so sweet, might be petite-eet
Losing it so slowly ah, losing it so slowly ah
He's not the one, but I'm not done, done
ChorusI might be painting him out as some murderer but I'm losing my religion bay-bee
The sweet girl you once knew, is not pure at all
Shes losing her religion (This Is Crazy)
I'm not sure if these are tears of joy (joy)
Or just tears cause im no longer pure, (pure)
Lala-La-La-La-La-La-La La-Oh Gosh (Oh Gosh)
Verse 2 He told me I need to go home already
What will momma she say when she sees Me (Yah)
"Chloe where've you been since Saturday?"
Momma I was living free, that's me
With that boy that I showed you from parties (ah)
HaHa-ah-ah-ah(2x)
She slapped me down (Slapped me down)
HaHa-ah-ah-ah(2x)
I turned at her and screamed, I'm done c*nt!
ChorusI might be painting him out as some murderer but I'm losing my religion bay-bee
The sweet girl you once knew, is not pure at all
Shes losing her religion (This Is Crazy)
I'm not sure if these are tears of joy (joy)
Or just tears cause I'm no longer pure, (pure)
BridgeThe morale of this story is to watch your crazy baby...
Getting tide up in a man's free lease
She loses her religion
Than loses her mind
Worse comes to worse and shes dead by twenty five
Oh.... Oh...
Its the truth ..its the truth..
Oh yeaa-ah
Its happening.... to me!
Chorus (2x)I might be painting him out as some murderer but I'm losing my religion (This is crazy)
The sweet girl you once knew, is not pure at all
Shes losing her religion (This Is Crazy)
I'm not sure if these are tears of joy (joy)
Or just tears cause I'm no longer pure (pure)
Losing My Religion, a song about young teen girls who go on to "lose their religion" from a very dark, and no good man who controls the naive girl who's obviously blinded by love, to the point where she gets leaves her mom, that could lead to a girl being the complete opposite of who she is/was. Brilliant. Not only does the song get a point across for mothers to keep an eye out on their daughters, but what makes the song special is that Chloe doesn't hold back and speaks her mind through pen and paper, and through her voice.. awakening young girls (and their mothers)Quote:I remember when I was coming of 'that age'. I started changing you know.. and meeting guys.. who just want you to themselves and tell you to do this and that. And a lot of girls get so blinded by the way a man is.. and specially if their in love they do things that really could affect them in life. I wrote this song because it scares me that its happening to younger girls, younger then me. I'm 21 and girls are being blinded by love and "losing their religion" in their teen ages... its scary.
OOC: Hm.. so I think Im horrible at writing lyrics but I thought I should give it a try.. tell me what you think? :)
