(OOC: I'm going to do this in 3 or 4 parts. I hope you enjoy it.)

It is midnight. The full moon shines upon the crowd, illuminating it's vastness. Discovery Park was packed with fans who were awaiting the homecoming of the Sacramento, California band, Reported Failure. The stage moderately sized and all the gear was set up. The only thing missing was the band. Although some of them would have loved to skydive in, drive in on a hummer, or have massive explosions behind them as they arrived, they were backstage awaiting their cue to start the show.

Their cue came. There was no introduction. Cleverly, and hooded under a pitch black cloak, Robert Edwards sneaked to his drum set and began to play. In black and behind his drums no one could really tell that he was there. The crowd, however went wild at the sound of any music. The rest of the band was still hidden in the shadows, but their instruments were in hand. They began playing a steady, mid tempo melody. This went on for some time. The music and seemingly empty stage built suspense. Then, all at once Matt, Vin, and Billie jumped onto stage, the crowd went wild, and there was an explosion of music that led into the first song!

The Cure to Growing Older
Destroy… Destroy… Destroy…

Lets blow this off
And sink into our melodies
Too bad were long gone
We’ve been destroyed by our endless tragedies

The bombs go off, the war never ends
My time is up in this hospital bed
Oil and blood are all I can send
To my family before im dead

So lets destroy it all!
Lets just start over
Before we die I’ll meet you in a place…
Where we never fall
Where the world stays sober
Where these melodies are the cure to growing older
The cure to growing older

The world fights, darkness descends
We try to turn on the amps before this ends
So bring on the city streets, in the dark I welcome all
Anyone who can sing along
So steal some cars, you don’t have to go far
We’ll sing this out before the fall

So lets destroy it all!
Lets just start over
Before we die I’ll meet you in a place…
Where we never fall
Where the world stays sober
Where these melodies are the cure to growing older
The cure to growing older

The first song was and straight up punk rock. The band warmed up the crowd, most of whom were singing along to Reported Failure's latest single. The song ended, and Billie grabbed the mic. "Sacramento!," he yelled. "How are we doing? It's been too long. We are thrilled to be home. We are Reported Failure, and we all are a post-grunge catastrophe,". This led Billie to begin playing the mellow opening riff to the title track of the band's latest album. The song was more layed back than the first. However, when it reached the halfway point, Reported Failure broke things down. Vin played a dynamic rtockstar knee slide worthy guitar solo, and the crowd exploded. Every line came out of Billie Beckett's mouth with passion, vigor, and energy. Vin and Matt helped out by singing the parts of the song that were recorded with Jason Smith and Suburban Sunrise. The first two songs were very much an introduction to what was to come. What was to come was the fantastic remainder of the Post-Grunge Catastrophe.
BillieVin

Post-Grunge Catastrophe
Wake up and look at the sun
It'll be gone by the time this is done
We'll sit back and look at the stars
Until were one

Drive until this town's gone
Go somewhere where the lights are still on
Look back at the world that we knew
It's all gone, its all gone

Now this world’s a new society
Where people come and go just to feel free
Just to feel free

Are we a post-grunge catastrophe?
Making our dreams while the city sleeps
I've heard maybe were to young now?
Are we a post grunge catastrophe?
Making a scene out in the streets
Your city is ours now!

Go find a better reason
Go find another scandal to stick to us
In the hope we’ll be gone
In the hope we’ll be gone

We know youre not important
You missed the boat long ago
So just give up
Just give up

Are we a post-grunge catastrophe?
Making our dreams while the city sleeps
I've heard maybe were to young now?
Are we a post grunge catastrophe?
Making a scene out in the streets
Your city is ours now!

Now scream (scream)
Tell everyone to run and hide
Cause we’ll change your children
We’ll get em on drugs.
We’ll destroy this hotel room
Were just low life thugs
Were not the new movement
Our 15 minutes are over…
Over

This catastrophe will swallow all my friends
I dream a dream of broken down cars
Vinyl records, and where we kill the trends
So lets dream, dream, dream, dream, dream, dream, dream!

Are we a post-grunge catastrophe?
Making our dreams while the city sleeps
I've heard maybe were to young now?
Are we a post grunge catastrophe?
Making a scene out in the streets
Your city is ours now!

(OOC: Thanks everyone)

When the second song ended, Matt immediately began slowly playing the bass riff for the next song. "We're gonna slow it down for you," said Billie.Because this song only requires one guitarist, Billie puts his down which allows him to move around the stage. The calm drums and reverbed, and chorused guitar sets the tone for the song. Some old friends that Billie knows jump on stage for this song to play the bongos and cello. Billie uses the stage and sings this emotional song much more personally to the audience than he would if he couldn't move around. The calm tranquility of the song is torn down on the last chorus as Vin switches from an arpeggio riff to playing the chords, and he and Matt add backing vocals while the drums get louder too close the song.

Let's Run
Are we losing control?
Are we losing control?
Are we losing control?
Are you losing control?
Can we live through this life?
Were we just born to die?

Wars keep raging I can’t stop them
People keep cryin. I can’t comfort them
But in the nuclear winter I’ll be coming to save you
When it all dies out I just want to be with you

Let’s run.
To a place that time left behind
Where we never reach ‘79
Where our dreams are less confined

Are we killing a hope?
Are we killing a dream?
Are we killing ourselves?
Are we killing the scene?
Can we challenge ourselves
To make a better life?

Stores keep closing. I can’t stop it
Friends keep leaving. I can’t keep them
But when we don’t break even I’ll be holding your hand
Until we find a better land

Let’s run.
To a place that time left behind
Where we never reach ‘79
Where our dreams are less confined

Let’s run.
To a place that time left behind
Where we never reach ‘79
Where our dreams are less confined

Billie grabbed his guitar, and Robert cued to start the next song. The guitars and bass joined in with full punk rock fashion. Vin addressed the crowd. "Let me hear you scream," he said. The crowd erupted as Billie began singing the next song. Because it sounds very similar to older Reported Failure material the longtime fans which made up the bulk of the crowd sang along to every word. Matt joined in to supply vocals on the bridge. "Let me hear you!," shouted Billie. The band stopped. The crowd was on their own. They sang a round of the chorus and then the band joined back in to finish off the fan favorite.
Almost (Not) Famous
Sit home read your magazines
Wonder what its all about
Terrified of the world you see
You just want to tear it down

Everytime that theres another movement
Anytime we start singing loud
Everytime you turn up the music
You can’t help but think you’re selling us out

Let’s trash this place
And go back to the bus
My words are the only things that agree with me
Let’s kill this life
And get back in the garage
Get me back to the river banks

If its angry call it punk
If its bitter call it emo
If its short haired call it indie
If its long haired call it metal
They will sell us out. They will water us down.
They hated us.
Then we got some
They’ll get theirs
When we cut em
Now everybody cut em!

Let’s trash this place
And go back to the bus
My words are the only things that agree with me
Let’s kill this life
And get back in the garage
Get me back to the river banks

Let’s trash this place
And go back to the bus
My words are the only things that agree with me
Let’s kill this life
And get back in the garage
Get me back to the river bank

A quick guitar switch by Billie, and the show was back on. He strummed the first chords on his acoustic guitar rang through the park. "Everybody get off the ground!," shouted Vin as he began the epic tapping riff to the next song. The crowd erupted into movement and cheers. A steady jumping beat started with help from Matt who directed the crowd to follow his lead through the instrumental part of the song. As the climax of noise came it was met by flames shooting up from the sides of the stage and screams from the crowd. Things eventually quieted down. Billie hushed the crowd. There was silence. THen came Billies scream, joined shortly by another shot of flame and the full band.

Years Apart
I want to find
Something that isn’t there
I want to be
With someone who cares
I’m too late now
It doesn’t exist

It doesn’t exist

"whoo," said Billie before he sipped some water. "You having a good time?," he asked. The crowd began to cheer. "We're having a good time. We've got some more songs for you. This one is called enemies,". It was during this song that Matt broke out his signature stage moves. They're really just a ridiculous combonation of some sort of jumping, the moonwalk, and a shoulder twist with his bass, but it is his signature thing and the fans love it. The loud pop punk song was a fan favorite that most of the crowd joined in. "Let me hear you!," said Vin at the last chorus. The band stopped and the crowd sang alone. Then Billie and Vin joined in with the crowd. THen, finally the instruments came back in to finish the song.

Enemies
You’re chasing… Something
That never really existed

Quit trying to be someone else
It’ll only bring you closer to hell
Youre screwing up your only chance
So just keep bitching about your teenage romance

Whats you beef, man? Whats your problem?
Why are you this way?
You are the enemy
Whats your beef, man? Whats your problem?
Why do you say what you say?
You are the enemy

I flea at the sign of a fight
Behind your back I say I’ll put you right
I’m far worse I swear
Im trying to seem sophisticated with my new facial hair

Whats you beef, man? Whats your problem?
Why are you this way?
You are the enemy
Whats your beef, man? Whats your problem?
Why do you say what you say?
You are the enemy

We’re chasing… Something
That never really existed
