Still got your copy of 'Firecracker 47's Mind Numbing Musical Interpretation Of How Not To Take The Morning After Pill (And Other Vaguely Interesting Metrosexual Blunders) : The Debut Album That About Four People Have Been Desperately Waiting For', released back in February 2010? Been using it as your F47 fix for so long that you actually know the name by heart? If you finally want it to gather dust, you may be in luck. Aside from their single 'Melanie', the F47 fab five have already started work on three more tracks, 'Let The Right One In', 'More Fear' and 'Kasumi'.
"'Let The Right One In' is definitely going to be our next single," says Joshy Firecracker. "It's a dedication to Mache, and it's a little confusing, to say the least. I absolutely love it, and see it as much more positive than others might. It's about death, but also saying goodbye, and talking to God and getting closure. I'm the best and worst Christian you'll ever meet, and I don't do much stuff related to God in F47, so this is a wonderful release for me."
Joshy aka. 'supersmoshbro47' tweeted the following last night -
Nobody meant to hurt you, we didn't see a thing, life is so unpredictable, don't know what it might bring. Now no-one's only virtue, nobody's free of sin, but when you open the gates of Heaven, let the right one in."'More Fear' is our metal song," he continues. "It's about feeling ugly when you're just fine, feeling that you need to get surgery, buy new shoes, do anything you can to fix yourself - when really, you don't need to." Is Joshy, who was diagnosed with body dysmorphic disorder and shopaholism last year, jumping on the 'disorder' bandwagon? It doesn't seem so, as he's not being too specific. "I love this because the lyrics seem really girly, but it's all done in heavy metal with screamed vocals, which is such a male-dominated market. Kamikaze Kate would want to make love to me for this - not that I'm asking." We believe you, Joshy.
Joshy and Roxy Firecracker - someone forgot to say "cheese""Then there's 'Kasumi', which is a lot more chilled, it's going to be the last and longest track on the album - and our first venture into trance music. The total change of genre was the girls' idea, they've both been criticised for not playing their instruments well and wanted to try something else, so they're going behind the decks or whatever you call it. James and I are going to sing. It's just a really chilled track that makes you feel like laying on your bed - take that as you will." Yes, if there's anyone who can write a track to have sex to, it's - probably not Joshy Firecracker, but we'll wait and see what this laying on your bed business is all about.
"This is going to be our serious album, I think. In a way, the name suits it." This is going to be interesting - how could 'Going Out For A Quiet One And Coming Home With No Pants And A New Cat' suit a serious album? "The name seems like a laugh, but think about it. You've got to take care of that new cat, or at the very least return it. This should be my tagline for life - with big fuck-ups come big responsibility!" True, Joshy - but we still don't know what you're on about. "There'll be plenty of farcical fun on there, I couldn't call an album that and not have any fun tracks, it'll just be more serious than the first one. That's not saying much, I know, but ya."
F47's debut - a daft album cover to suit the contentThankyou, Joshy Firecracker. Enjoyable company as always.
