I do not recall changing the game interface and I do not see how to get it back to how it was before
the current game interface does not show how many points I have left or how much money I have earned
does anyone know what happened and how to fix it?

The game was updated, there is no way to "fix" it.
However, if you look in the black bar below the logo, on the far right there is the listing of how many points you have and how much money you have. |

(I am using Firefox 2 on a Mac notebook computer. and no I am not going to update my browser just to see if the letters magically appear)
