MUSICBLOG- EUROPIA X?
So I did some research on this girl- Europia X, first of all, what kind of name is that? but I love the creativy of it. Oh- my name is Joseph. I write about unknown artist who I found interest in. While, by the sounds of it, this girl has have a fucked up life. First, her voice is amazing. It's this 80's influenced voice with Tenna Marie, and Madonna pop vocals in it; loved that she has amazing range in her vocals, where she can unbelievable notes. I saw her peforming at a club in NY and her presence- seems she is suck in te 70's or 80's. Her style is very old and a taste of modern feel. Colorful, but classic hollywood fashion. She takes her colors to mix them in patterns and over the top hairstyles which are hair is very curely. I think she's weird because it seems she has an obession with masks and anything bird like. Owls, eagles, any kind of bird she loves. Obession with wolves as well, I think anything with 4 legs that has a very aggestive look she likes. She is already a very aggestive girl, she doesnt talk much... or laugh.. but when she's on stage, it all changes.. seems she is a different person. What I have saw from her is she can be very quiet, she isnt shy.. She was raised by two parents.. on October 9th 1987 in Missisippi where she survived and lived thought low income, food and clothing. Dad (Adam) worked as a low income, making six dollors an hour working as a meat cleaner. Mom (Jennifer) was a teacher at the local high school. Europia, her real name Jazzy, comes from her late grandfather who died when she was 4 of Cancer. Jazzy will always have to get dropped off to her mom's best friend's house where she was raped at six, recently told her mother about it. Dad was a spanish man from Brazil where Jazzy got her spanish influenced part accent from and her mom was american. When Jazzy was six, they had other child- an boy, by the name of Adam Jr. Focus remained on Adam because Adam wanted a son to begin with, but never told his wife that. Adam treated Jazzy like she was never there (sick bastard) and Adam lost her job when Jazzy started the first grade at age seven. Adam had to go job searching again, but devoloped an drug use promblem that often smoked because of the stress of trying to find the unlimited work that he could find.. he dropped out of high school in 11th grade and Jennifer went to college for teaching before they had Jazzy. Devoloping an alchol use, with the low income already in; Jennifer making and bringing in only 400 dollors every two weeks, also having to provide for two children (school supplies, clothing, food, shelter, bills!) Adam spent the needed money on drugs, putting the family in debt to pay bills, struggling more than ever when Jazzy was eight and Adam Jr was getting into school. The drug use lead to an overdose when Jazzy was ten, Adam dieing and leaving the family. Jazzy at ten didnt feel any sorrow for his last because Adam never spoke to her, only if he HAD TOO.. got damnit, he's a fucking idiot. Anyway, Jazzy will always try to deal with the strugglies and heartbreak of her mom by listening and dancing to 70's and 80's dance hits. Breaking down with her mother, her mother still supported the two children while Jazzy was still getting raped at her friends house. Meanwhile, Jazzy will always cry to go over there.
Jennifer didnt pay any attention to her crying help because she needed the babysitter. Jennifer got a raise when Jazzy was 12 at the amount of 9.50 an hour, saving the family for getting kicked out their small downtown apartment. Jennifer got over the past and started to live only for her children. Jazzy devoloped music sense, going to school being the quiet one, but always had a notepad and color pencils to draw out musicial scenes to already recorded music from her favorite artist. She will always be in a corner, drawing the art or even singing to herself and often made up to her tunes to already instrumental's dance tracks. Her favorite part about being in the 5th grade was the school dances, she will go with her friends but always danced by herself, moving her head back and back and acting like she was holding an mic. Jennifer never dresed Jazzy, at the tender age of 13; Jazzy devoloped a strong fashion sense and will always play in Jennifer's high heels. At a school talent show, when Jennifer realized Jazzy had talent in music. She sang classics from Micheal Jackson and Madonna pop and dance tracks while jumping around stage and moving her hips. Jazzy started to also get involved with school plays that also gave her the creative mood to write music and draw designs for performance. She will always play dress up wit unmatched colors to act or sing out performances that she drew.
Life was good for both children when Jazzy was a teenager battling in dance shows and singing contests to Jennifer discovering she has breast cancer. Jazzy, of cours she scared. She didnt want to lost her mother. Over the years, she losted her grandfather, one aunt and her father. She didnt want no more- she devoloped a strong fear of death and heartbreak. Jazzy started to take care of her mother. She told her mom, " One day when I become famous, you will not have to suffer anymore..." Jazzy and Adam Jr was a strong bond, they loved each other and they was close to help their mother with her cancer. Jennifer didnt give up- driving across time to dance and singing shows, winning money to support the family. Jazzy won first place in a New York show, (their first time flying..) winning 5,000- paying doctors to try and cure the breast cancer.
Fast forward to the age of 19, graduated from high school and Adam just barely entering high school. Jazzy started to work at a local coffee shop, saving up money to go LA and meet Ben Willer after seeing her at the New York club where I saw her at. Jennifer in the years become a principal at the high school, living in a afforable income, buying a house in the uptown of New York, moving there when Jazz was 16. At 19, she moved to LA to meet Ben Willer, signing a management deal and moving into the devolopment stages of an artist. Now living in LA, she searchers for an record label that can have her 70's, 80's dance/house/pop feel that has a amazing heartbreaking melodies to other level. She wants to be a big star someday.. will she?
