The small club in Austin Texas is Buzzing with excitement over the headlining band tonight "The Last Circus". the stage they are playing on is small the bands equipment fills it up with just enough space for them to stand in. there is a large three piece drum set on the stage next surrounded by two Vox 100 watt amps both running into each other.(Johnny plays this way instead of having the usual stack of amps. "the sound fills the room better" he says.) The wall behind them is littered with band names and artist that have been there. the place smells of cigarette smoke and spilled beer, old grunge music is played over the club speakers.



Backstage the two band mates sit, neither of them speak. Johnny's leg is shaking wildly with nerves, while Billy practices his triplets on the wall. the coffee table in the room is littered with empty beer bottles and cig butts. Johnny looks up and lights a new cigarette. "well, you ready man" Johnny says.
Billy simply nods and the two head to the stage.



The stage goes dark as the two move onto stage, the crowd goes wild and screams and claps. Mozart's 16th sonata begins to play over the hole club, a few measures in the band erupts into playing, its an original tune without a name or lyrics, more of an opening jam. filled with One hit power cords and slow pounding drums to drive it. BOW!BOW! BOOOOW! the song ends the crowed applauds.

(Johnny seems to have taken on a country accent, a bit like Elvis.) "thank ya Kindly, thank you to everyone who came out tonight, my name is Johnny Rockett and this is Billy the Kid and we are The Last Circus" the band begins to play "Light my Fire" by Jimi Hendrix. the crowed is jumping and dancing and having a grand time.

the rest of the night is a huge success filled with great playing.

after they play the last son the two are exhausted, they played hard and well all night. Johnny walks up to the mic drops his guitar on the floor send a loud feed back hum and he says "We are The Last Circus, thank ya very much for comin out tonight, tell your friends about us tell your family your dog your cat your fish, we love you. Now who wants to buy us a drink!. and with that they walk off stage to visit with fans.
