Song Description: You Don't Have To Hide is a rock song written by frontman Ryan Williams to be released on the Lo-Fidelity charity CD. The song starts off slow paced with light strumming and a keyboard based backing, Williams softly whispers the first verse until he gets to "Is it something is should fear?", the band take the song up a beat as Williams vocals get more heavily influential on the song before a thundering chorus with the chorus being belted out with "anymore" being held for some time, displaying his vocal talent. As we enter the second verse, the song is much more lively than it was first time round with a steady drum beat and clear guitar strumming Williams matches with his sombre voice teasing us before the electrifying chorus. Going into the bridge the group vocals being chanting "Woah" over heavy guitar and bass play before quieting down once again. Williams voice is almost-whisper like for the whole bridge until he changes key into a more aggressive approach in "that's you life". The song again continues with its strong chorus playing the song to a close.
Lyrics:Give me just a second to see what’s going on here
I’m freaking out right now, is it something I should fear?
You know that ill stay with you until you get the all-clear
Even if it takes all year,
Its something I’m willing to endearYou don’t have hide anymore
Ill be right by your side forever more
You don’t have to fear about disappearing
If there was a way I could take your pain,
I would,
If it meant that you would remain hereDon’t think of the worst, think of how your going to be
Is there anything more I can do to help you see?
You know that whenever or wherever, you can call me
In the end there wont be much debris,
You’ll forget about this when your swimming in the seaYou don’t have hide anymore
Ill be right by your side forever more
You don’t have to fear about disappearing
If there was a way I could take your pain,
I would,
If it meant that you would remain hereWoah, woah......Woah......
Woah, woah......Woah......There is no maybe, there is a will be
You’ll be safe right by my side
You give me every reason to believe,
That some things are bigger than fame
More important than chasing a future wife
And that’s your precious life. You don’t have hide anymore
Ill be right by your side forever more
You don’t have to fear about disappearing
If there was a way I could take your pain,
I would,
If it meant that you would remain here
Ill be by your side forever more,
Forever means ever, I’ll never let you fallSounds Like:
As the song plays out, masses of screams block out the host's thanks to the band.Tom: Wow! That was fantastic. Ladies and gentlemen.. MISERY LOVES COMPANY! Now, if you boys could join me over here for a quick interview.
They all sit on the sofa in-front of the crowd.Tom: Once again, thanks for that performance.Riley: Thank you for having us on!
Tom: Ok, first is first. You Don't Have To Hide, can you tell us a bit about the song?Ryan: Sure. The song was wrote for the Lo-Fidelity charity record which is to be released in the future, and basically the whole record had been started over the sad news of Michelle Green. We all know people who have had cancer, some have pulled through other have passed and i am no different, so as soon as we heard about it.. we wanted in on it. When we got the go ahead i started writing, then we went to the studio in a one-off day with Shay and just through it out there. You can't buy it separately, sorry, it wont be released as a single.
Tom: Good stuff. Your debut record Two Sides To The Story went TOP on sunday, that must have been a proud moment?Nate: Absolutely! We at the time of making it never thought anything like this would happen, we would have been happy if only our parents bought it but the fact so many people did is something amazing. We are blessed to have such cool fans.
Josh: Yeah, i mean, we are just 4 regular kids who love music. Some people never get the chance to release something like this so we're very grateful to the label for putting so much trust and time into us.
Tom: I bet. You are having success with Cameras and Lights also, have you any plans for the next single?Ryan: Am, kinda. I mean, we are toying around with a few things one being making a music video but yeah we will have another single of the record soon. At the minute it could be anything but we want it to be Visually Impaired.
Tom: Cool, cool. Now, tour time. First headlining tour starts soon, looking forward to it?Ryan: Hell yeah! We have never went on a big tour before even as a support act so to jump into the deep end and headline the shows is crazy! We grew up playing to friends and family only and now look, sold out tour of North America.. tis crazy. But yeah, we're looking forward to it, it'll be great to hang with two super cool bands to in Superheroes In Training and Down But Not Out.
Tom: There's a little rumor going round saying you guys are brining a film crew with you?Ryan: Haha. Well, i can tell you we aint making a film anyway! Yeah we have a little surprise coming out after tour, it may.. be a documentary on the band, who knows. Haha.
Tom: Exciting! Ok, we're running out of time. Can you tell us any future plans you guys have?Ryan: Believe it or not, we have already started planning for record number 2! We hate doing nothing so, we wanna get to work on a new record as soon as. Obviously it won't be out for a long time yet though haha, but expect a 2012 release definitely.
Tom: Ok thank you very much guys, its been a pleasure having you on the show.Once again everyone show your appreciation for Misery Loves Company!
