Label: Studio60 Records Metallic Swan is an American pop rock band consisting of twin sisters Taylor and Harmony Sparks. They were born on May 12th, 1989 in Baytown, Texas to Alex and Nina Sparks. The band first formed under the name 36Royalty in 2006 by Taylor Sparks, Harmony Sparks, Jessica Locket, and Anna Greene. 36Royalty composed about fifteen songs such as “Secrets Within Me” and “Death of a Teenage Girl”. It didn't take long before they became their peer's favorite interest at Sterling High School. They often played at school gigs, wedding parties, and house parties. Shortly after, the group disbanded due to verbal confrontations between Jessica Locket and Anna Greene. Upon graduating from high school, Taylor and Harmony put the band on hold and decided to move to Paris, Texas to attend college. Both girls were accepted to Paris Junior College where they majored in music. In December of 2010, Taylor and Harmony received their Associates Degree in Music Performance. Taylor and Harmony moved back to Baytown, Texas into their parent's house temporarily. A few months later, they decided to start up another band, only this time it would consist of them. In search of a new start the girls figured it best to ditch the old band name and come up with a brand new one. Some weeks later, after serious thinking and debating, they came up with the name, “Metallic Swan.” The girls are currently working on new material and finding a label to call home. Bio: Taylor is the oldest and more of a tomboy out of the two. At the age of 7, her parents got her and her sister a karaoke machine for their birthday. She would spend hours playing with it more than her sister. By the time she was 9, her parents made her sign up for singing lessons. From the beginning Taylor never really cared about singing but as she got older she started liking it more. When she turned 11, she started playing the guitar and after awhile she learned how to play the piano. A couple years later when she was 13, she started skateboarding and she really enjoyed it. She would take her skateboard every where she went. At 17 her and her younger sister, Harmony, started a band with a few friends. The band later broke up, which hurt Taylor a lot, but her and her sister decided to start the band again later after they graduated from college. In 2008, they both went on to attend college to major in music. Two years later they graduated and decided to start the band again changing the name to Metallic Swan. Bio: Harmony is the youngest and nerdiest of the two. At the age of 6, she developed a love for books. Unlike most children who spent their time playing, Harmony spent every moment she could reading. By the time she was 10 years old she had read over 100 different books. Her parents enjoyed that she took a liking to reading but feared that she wasn't developing socially. Upon many discussions amongst themselves, they decided to enroll her into an after school music program. After just a few months in the program, Harmony excelled at playing the piano and guitar. Discovering that music was her true calling, Harmony participated in every musical opportunity given to her. As she entered middle and high school, she took her musical talents to the next level. Enrolling in chorus class, she discovered that she had a beautiful voice. Her teachers would always encourage her to sign up for the advanced classes to develop her voice to its true potential. Her parents were quite proud of her musical talents and later approved Harmony's decision to start a band with her older sister, Taylor. After the bands split however, Harmony was devastated but decided to pick up the band again at a later time. Instead she put her efforts into her school work and graduated high school as valedictorian. She and her sister both went on to attend college to major in music. Two years later, they graduated and decided to rekindle the band again. Changing the name to “Metallic Swan”, the two hope to become a success and enjoy their love for music.
