Cori Merion <3 Cori Merion is an Electronic/Acoustic pop artist originally from Sydney Australia but now resides in Manhattan, New York. Cori was born and raised in Sydney until the age of 13 when her mother was offered a job to work at a famous fashion line and the two moved to New York. Cori lost her father to cancer when she was 5 so she doesn't remember much about him. Now at age 19, she is currently attending Music4Youth and is currently writing lyrics for a debut CD(EP or FL) and is working on songs in between school, and keeping somewhat of a social life. Keep an eye out for Cori in the future because once she starts going up she wont stop! I have the first original that is ready for you all to hear! I recorded this with garageband on my mac so obviously its not the worlds greatest quality and its a demo but I wanted to share this song called "He's To Die For." Ya I know you all are probably thinking "Oh great another sappy love song" but I hope you all like it :) Some feedback would be nice on what you all think! Hope you like it <3

Blog #1/Introduction!
So I've decided to do a blog! I am going to try to post atleast 2 or 3 a week but I might post more or less. Depends on how eventful my day is. So I wanted this first blog to be a little introduction about me... Ok well, most of you might not know who I am but my name is Cori Merion, im 19 and am originally from Sydney Australia. I was born and raised in Sydney until I was 13. While living there I learned how to play guitar and keyboard. I was home schooled the entire time while living there by my mom who also worked from home. My dad died when I was 5 so I dont remember much about him but from what my mum has told me, he was a very artistic man and was an excellent painter and pianist. When I was 13 my mom was offered a job in New York to come over and be a designer for some big name fashion company.(I dont remember the name) When she was offered the job it took her a little while to accept it because she didnt want to upset me if I didnt want to go. With me being home schooled its not like I would have been leaving alot friends or anything. So we talked about it and we moved to New York 3 days before my 14th birthday. When we moved to New York I was forced to go to a regular school because my mom was working almost all the time and had to actually go into the "office." The transition into a normal school was hard but was easy and I made lots of friends(some I still talk to.) I graduated from high school last year and am now 19. I am attending Music4Youth and am an aspiring acoustic-pop artist. I have been singing my entire life and started taking guitar lessons when I was 12. I first started on piano when I was 9. I love living in New York and being apart of something "big" and "busy." I am pretty easygoing, I LOVE pizza, like hanging out, and am easy to get to know. My music is influenced by Aaron Marks and Katie Coyle mostly but once I get some good software(or a record deal) you will be able to hear some awesome synths! I am hoping to sign a contract with a label that is interested in helping me achieve the "Star Factor!" But if I dont get signed right out of the gate I guess I will try to build a fan base on my own. I am hoping to release my debut EP sometime next year. I dont know when but I hope sometime soon. I dont really know what else to talk about(haha) so I guess if you have any questions just ask me! Talk to you all soon! <3

Bleh!!!! Today was horrible in class! I fell asleep in all of my classes :( This weekend was so much fun! I went out with some friends, went to one of their concerts, recorded some demo's and just partied like a crazy motha fucker! ahaha Pretty much other then what I just talked about nothing interesting has happened. Well, I just bought my ticket to go see Aaron Marks live on the Scream Tour! I am soooooo excited for that! His music is so awesome! and Misery Loves Company is also playing!(Their singer is such a cutie) So when that comes around ima be a super dooper happy little foreign girl! Ahaha I cant wait to eventually start touring and stuff! Its going to be soooooo much fun! :) Well I recorded 2 new demo's on my pink little macbook! They are kinda cool. Its just me and my acoustic guitar like the demo I showed you guys but its also just a demo! I think when they are finished you will all love the,! :) Well im like really really tired so im going to go get some diner and then im going to go to bed! Just thought id update this real quick :)

Sooo this isnt really a blog but more of a question for EVERYONE! I was wondering if anyone was interested in playing a show soon :) I feel like playing a show but I want to play with an artist or band that will draw in a crowd because not many people know who I am ya know? Well if anyone wants to play a show just let me know!(OOC: PM or reply to thread) :) I hope so of you guys do!

Hey everyone! :) So its been a little bit since I updated you all on my life. Well nothing too interesting has happened BUT! I did play at an open mic at some little coffee house and oh my god!
