On Jagged Shores 5. Rocko the Socko 1. Alpha Description: The song begins with Troy screaming followed by an intense breakdown that leads into the verse. The verse is saturated with palm muted guitars and double bass. The chorus enters and Brooks plays a harmony on the guitar while C.J. sings and holds a steady rhythm. The music goes back to the breakdown and then through another verse and chorus. Lyrics: C.J. (clean)-Black Troy (screamed)-Blue (Verse 1) I am the first one! out of the ground I came you breathed life into my lungs out of the dust I was made formed beautifully placed in the world so I may be (Chorus) I am the Alpha, the strongest I am the one who will lead us through just take my hand, I've got a plan that will bring us everything (Verse 2) this world is perfect I have you by me everyday the gardens more than enough for me this world is perfect I wont be wanting (Chorus) I am the Alpha, the strongest I am the one who will lead us through just take my hand, I've got a plan that will bring us everything 2. The Siren's Song Description: The song begins with with a lightly sung verse that has a creepy stillness to it which immediately breaks into Troy screaming "Lies!" followed by a dubstep breakdown. The song then goes from dubstep to hardcore with the start of the first verse. The song slows up slightly in the chorus and reverts back to clean vocals until the end of it. The next verse goes back to Troy screaming with the guitars chugging followed by a breakdown riff which then takes the song back into the chorus. The last chorus ends and immediately shifts back to a dubstep/hardcore breakdown with Troy screaming the final verse. This song is based off the Greek mythology of the Siren's but with a more modern day feel. C.J. (clean)- Black Troy (screamed)- Blue (Verse 1) I hear a song, of love and passion a beautiful voice, a beautiful girl Lies! her voice is pleasing like a diamond shining bright but her song is laced with evil and nothing but demise (Chorus) her beauty is incomparable her voice is undescribable foul temptress, luring me inside the Siren song she sings is leading men to die (Verse 2) as the echoes of her chorus bounce off these walls and the bones of young men decorate these halls we will not lured, we will not be tricked as we follow the bones of the ruined, to slay the evil witch (Chorus) her beauty is incomparable her voice is undescribable foul temptress, luring me inside the Siren song she sings is leading men to die (Verse 3) underneath her mask of beauty lies a demon who's voice cuts straight through me like the wind and the waves she's calling out to me like the wind and the waves she's calling out to me 3. Deceiver Description: This song starts off as a slow acoustic song that is sung by C.J. and played by Brooks. Then after the first chorus the song picks up and the distortion kicks in and Troy screams a verse. After Troy's screaming is done the song shifts back into a slow acoustic song again and finishes on somber note. This song continues where The Siren's Song leaves off. It is about that crossroads everyone faces where they question what they've always been told and try to find the truth in the matters at hand but are stuck and don't know what to do about it. C.J. (clean)- Black Troy (screamed)- Blue (Verse 1) the evil witch is dead her Siren's song just bleeds red as her lungs try to strike a chord she just ends up gasping for air (Verse 2) and now it seems like everything in this fight just isn't worth fighting for wheres the point of this whole war between the good of men and theirs hearts that turn to contempt (Chorus) and all im asking for is for you to tell the truth instead of deceiving me instead believe in me and ill help you make it through until the end (Verse 3) enough again im tired of being fed all these lies now selfishness I can see it in your eyes and all im asking for is truth (Chorus) and all im asking for is for you to tell the truth instead of deceiving me instead believe in me and ill help you make it through until the end or will we stay here on jagged shores 4. On Jagged Shores Description: This song begins with Troy speaking the first verse while Harris plays a deep drum beat and Mike plays what sounds like an angelic choir effect. After Troy is done speaking the song picks up and moves into the next verse. The second verse allows Brooks to show his skill on guitar more as he plays a riff that has a mixture of dissonant chords and harmonics on top of C.J.'s rhythm. The song then goes into the chorus and out into the thirds verse where C.J. ends up singing as the chorus' rhythm continues. After that the song moves back into the chorus again and then into the last verse where Troy's screams are as brutal as ever as are the guitars and drums. The song ends with the band singing oooh and aaaahs. C.J. (clean)- Black Troy (screamed)- Blue (Verse 1) out of the mist of a cold dark night rises the mast and the sails of ships once bright as the bones of their crew line the shore we can barely stand the sight of such gore here on jagged shores ooh, aah, aaah, ah ooh, aah, aaah, ah (Verse 2) were here trying to navigate these waters the waves crash upon us in attempt to slaughter but we remain strong until the very end we wont go down so easily were not like the others who fell so feebly (Chorus) reach out into the storm and shine your light and lead us home reach out into the storm we cry to you but this effort seems forlorn ooh, aah, aaah, ah ooh, aah, aaah, ah (Verse 3) the demons cry out in pain i can feel the blood drain from my life their evil hands are reaching reaching for what is not theirs (Chorus) reach out into the storm and shine your light and lead us home reach out into the storm we cry to you but this effort seems forlorn (Verse 4) were just stuck on jagged shores but this is no time to mourn just let fate take us home or let the evil make us hordes ooh, aah, aaah, ah 5. Rocko the Socko Description: This song is a fun song that Troy and C.J. wrote one night when they were thinking back on childhood. The song is about a sock puppet. It isn't a song that they wanted to put on an actual record but they felt that it would show the band's sense of humor. The song is just Troy and C.J. with C.J. playing an acoustic guitar and Troy singing. Troy (clean)-Black i'll make you laugh won't make you cry entertain you very cheaply i can break it to you easy with buttons for eyes i can't see you laugh this is getting old i am not amused i don't have the effect i used to we all grow old we all grow up we forget our cheap thrills and childhood toys we forget simplicity and authenticity we forget rocko the socko he lived a good life til the day he died his memory goes on he was a part of you you'll never forget
