The song was written by the groups manager Lyrica Ocha and member Dustyn Blue. 'Everything About You' came about after the group sat down and discussed their possible sound and image. Buzz words like 'fun', 'energetic' and 'happy' came about which became the basis for the single. Also, Weekend have made it clear that they want to stay away from the current dance trend that many seem to be following and do their own rock pop sound, almost in an 'anti-house' fashion. Filled with guitars, drums and strong vocals 'Everything About You' grabs your attention straight away and will have you singing along in no time. The lyrics describe a couple who seem to annoy each other all the time but are madly in love and all the little things that irritate them seem to be the things that brings them closer. Comments Oscar "I think that this song was the best one for our debut as it sums us all right up. It is fun and catchy plus I find the lyrics really sweet. I want to thank Lyrica and Dustyn for writing the song and for finding the great sound for us. Out of all of the songs we recorded this one really stood out to all of us and we knew it was the one." Scott "Being a huge fan of rock music, this song is one of my favourites we've done. Recording it was so fun and whilst singing it we got a great feeling. We hope that our fans will enjoy it as much as we do because we have put so much into it and I'm dying to see the reception it gets!" Dustyn "I never thought that we would get to this stage, premiering our debut single! I know that many will say it isn't 'current' as it isn't dub-step or whatever you call it but we believe it can do well in the charts. I think that the lyrics too are quite different because it's not about clubbing or partying like a lot of songs. People like Nadia Berry, Katie Coyle and Michelle Green who have very serious and passionate lyrics really inspire us.
