When she was only 8 months old she moved to London, England, as her father Bill-Bob James had a job relocation. Raven became fascinated in music when she began to sing in the church choir at the age of 9. After writing church songs for the choir and singing her songs at the church, by the age of 13, she had 3 notebooks filled with songs. She began experimenting with different genres of music when she hit 15, and perfected her skills in producing. Written by Michelle Lynchberg & Raven James (Raven J), produced by DJ Lord. The song was written after Raven declared that she wanted to perform something something creative, energetic, and something colorful! She wanted a fruityliscous song that displays a mixture of color. In the song, you can hear the drums beating, guitar playing, and Raven's high vocal chords! An absolute Guitar-Pop song. The music video for this debut will be released worldwide tomorrow (Sunday)! The lyrics to the song is to show people that you have to be proud of what you are. As Raven says, everyone is here for a purpose, reason, and everyone has a meaning! Comments "I firstly would like to give thanks to Michelle Lynchberg and DJ Lord for helping me to write and produce this song. Secondly, this song is a message to people that you have to have self-confidence in what you do. Be confident about who you are. Everyone is beautiful in their own way. No one is ugly, nor bad. "So I began recording with Giselle & Desiree Shapiro :) Both favourites of mine! New album Trending Topic, is also in the works. I promise you guys will absolutely love every track on the album. Also, the cover is to die for! Pre-ordering is currently available at Target, Amazon, an iTunes. The release date is set for April 7th, 2012. Last night, the rising Pop Queen performed in London among over 200 people at a well-known club. She performed two tracks, as well as a cover track, Daniel's hit, *"Put My Heart Away"! Dressed up in an unusual, but rave outfit, she performed well! The DJ at the club announces the name Raven J, and the audience goes bananas. They all know who Raven J is, as she performed at local venues (bars, clubs, etc..) in England. Especially London. After the crowd is finished yelling out "Woo-hoo", smoke appears at the scene. moments later, piano playing begins, and Raven's body shadow appears in the mists of the smoke. She begins her small speech to the crowd, saying..... "They say love isn't explainable, but the sex is. They say love is hard to find, but females opening their legs aren't. I even had this one boyfriend, who stayed together for me because of the sex. (she giggles) But now, he's my ex. I love this song by Daniel. His new song called "Put My Heart Away", is my absolute favorite song ever! That's what I'll be jamming right now.!" But I need more time to promote the project. Performances/Appearances on Total Annihilation 5, Celebration of Noise, and Loud & Clear w/Fitzpatrick are good sources of promotion. I said I'll release the album on March 23rd. But I have so much things on my hand. I'll be supporting Giselle on her South American & North American Tour Leg during the spring. I also have a lot of rehearsals to do, as I'll be performing on 2 major festivals, as well as on a music show, along with Cinzia Ricci. I have a lot of things that I need to be done. I'm sorry I pushed the album release date towards the April, but I promise that sometime around April, my long awaited album will be released." With Lots of Love, Raven J
