Donna Marks - Complicated



After being called to the stage a young girl aged at about 18 years old is sat in the middle on the stage with a microphone in her hand that girl is Donna Marks as announced earlier by the answer she smiles out at the crowd as the beat to Avril Lavigne's "Complicated" starts playing she stays where she's at and brings the microphone closer to her mouth as she speaks the first few parts of the song she doesn't sing them but regularly speaks them while still smiling out at the people in the crowd "Uh huh life's like this uh huh uh huh that's the way it is cause life's like this uh huh uh huh that's the way it is" She remains seated in the center of the stage as she sings the first few parts of the song in a more chilled out and laid back voice and continues smiling out at the crowd cause she was pretty excited as this was the largest crowd she had ever performed for in her life though she looked like it Donna wasn't the type of girl to get nervous easily she was a very confident girl not a diva like previous winner Aubrey Mikkel but still very confident she was happy with the way she sounded why would anyone else be if she wasn't she continued singing the song whilst smiling out at the crowd as the acoustic guitar continues playing the beat to Avril's "Complicated" she does little actions as she sings the song like when she opens it up with the "Chill out what you yellin for?" she looks around a bit sarcastically and shrugs as if she was actually singing to someone else then as she goes to the "I like you the way you are" she points at the camera and winks at it still keeping that smile on her face

Donna stands up off of the steps on the stage as she approaches the chorus of the song she continues to sing in that more laid back and chilled out sort of voice like she was earlier but sings it a little differently this time going a little higher than before and a little faster the band also play a little faster as well in the chorus much like the original song Donna sounded somewhat like Avril does but not quite like her which could either be a good thing to some or a bad thing depending on how you felt about Avril Donna walked towards a microphone stand that was set up in the middle of the stage Donna also had a few back up singers with her on the stage helping her out slightly in the chorus she also still had that smile from earlier on she places her hand on her chest as she continues singing and walking to the mic stand

Donna finally reaches the microphone stand and places the microphone on the mic stand and sings the second verse as she looks out at all five of the judges still smiling as she was usually a very happy and upbeat young girl it also showed in her performance right now as she continued showing how fun and happy she usually was on stage she felt comfortable on there which is usually odd for someone so new she was loving every moment of performing in front of the five judges right now she and it was obvious how much fun she was having she turned her attention from the judges to the other people that were there trying to interact with them waving her hand back and forth a little as she continued singing the song in that laid back sound she had been since earlier she turned her attention back to the judges and made little interactions with them winking at some and then waving at others as she swayed back and forth to the song and continued singing it

She then took the microphone of the stand and held the stand to her side as she continued singing the song showing off more of her vocal abilities as she went higher than before and left the chilled out and laid back vocals behind she was now singing the way people had been waiting for she was also dancing a little while still holding the microphone and singing she was looking a little more like a little pop or pop rock star now than before the smile had seemed to go away and her more serious side was showing proving how much this had meant to her she looked out at the people as she continued singing the back up singers also complimented her very nicely Donna sang the last part in her more chilled and laid back voice again after finishing the song which she decided to cut short to save time for the show she placed the microphone on the stand and looked at the judges waiting to see who would bid on her or not
