Imperial Destruction is a Hard Rock band working on their debut album 'Imperial'. They just released their first single 'Rainbow Shotgun' today.
Rainbow Shotgun is a song that both glorifies and debases life on the edge. It talks about living on the streets, getting in conflicts with the police, and doing drugs. It starts with a slow acoustic melody, than hits a fast paced electric guitar riff. Both verses in the song talk about the dangers of the lifestyle that the band lives. The music slows down a little bit for the chorus, which than gives you a more fun look at life on the edge (such as partying, and having sexual relations with stray women.)

On the B-Side is Fuck The System, an explosive Punk Rock song that criticizes the government, and major corporations. It's explicit lyrics and fast and heavy guitar riffs are enough enrage parents and enrapture rebellious teens.
It also features a cover of Guns n Roses 'Out Ta Get Me'. It is a slower, bluesier version of the song, and features a threatening message from John Waters to the local police authorities.

The Story of Imperial Destruction
Imperial Destruction is a Canadian Hard Rock band with a unique sound and destructive behaviour involving drugs, alcohol, and a tendancy to get in trouble with the law. The band started in Duncan, British Columbia where John Waters and Killer Montoya met in the 7th grade. They both had long hair and a love for 60's, 70's, and 80's hard rock and heavy metal, which made them social outcasts.
John never met his father and his mother was addicted to heroine. A dysfuntional home life left John to be ill tempered and rebellious. He would often get suspended from school for starting fights with other kids, smoking weed, and mouthing off to his teachers. He decided he wanted to be a rockstar at a very young age when his cousin showed him the 'Guns n Roses Use Your Illusion World Tour' DVD. He was inspired by Axl Rose's intensity on stage. He decided at that moment that he was destined to be the frontman of a rock n roll band.
Killer Montoya came from a large family where he had 7 siblings. He was the youngest child of his 5 brothers and two sisters. Killer's parents were immigrants from Mexico. He was very shy when he was young and was often bullied at school. When he met John he started fighting back when kids picked on him. He was also inspired to be a rockstar by Guns n Roses, when his oldest brother played him the 'Appetite For Destruction' album.
By the time they were 15, John Waters and Killer Montoya stopped going to school and mostly hung out at John's house due to the lack of adult supervison. They spent most of their time smoking weed, experimenting with pschadelics, drinking alcohol, skateboarding, vandalizing things, and jamming. Killer stole a guitar from a local music store and John discovered he was a naturally gifted singer. When they were both 17 years old they decided it was time to leave town after an incident with the police. One night they were outside drinking vodka and skateboarding when two cops came up to them and started yelling at them. When one cop made a racial slur at Killer, John took his skateboard and smashed the windshield of the squad car. They were put in jail for the night and were schedueled for a court date. Instead of going to court, they decided to take the bus to Vancouver to start a rock band.
On the way to Vancouver, they met a bass player named Johnny Makane, who ironically was also on his way to Vancouver to start a band. Johnny had long brown hair and was wearing a red bandana, a jean jacket with the sleeves ripped off, and a Black Sabbath T-Shirt. He was leaving his home in Courtney, after he got in a fist fight with his dad. His brother owned a music store in Vancouver called 'The Head'. He told Johnny that he could work there and live with him in his appartment. Johnny met a guitar player at 'The Head' named Steve Morrison. Steve was a huge Led Zeppelin fan and he looked like a 70's stoner.
Steve lived in a very small house, that was more like a garage. It was very dirty and smelt like a mixture of weed, booze, and vomit. John, Killer, Steve, and Johnny all jammed together for the first time and were pleased with what they heard. John and Killer stayed at Steve's house, and Johnny mostly hung out there too. John met a girl named Lita Young, who would become his girlfriend. Lita had a brother named Eric Young, who was a drummer and was into the same style of music as the others. He played with the band and had a unique style of drumming that complimented the band perfectly. Finally the band was complete.
In that small, dirty house the five of them did nothing but party, sell drugs, write songs, and jam. They moved onto stronger drugs. Killer and Steve grew to be very dependant on heroine, while John and Eric were more into cocaine. Johnny wasn't into drugs as much as the others, but you would never find a moment where he wasn't heavily drunk.
They started playing at small clubs and quickly became known for there amazing performances on stage. John was a menacing frontman who let all his intensity and anger out on stage, much like his idol Axl Rose. Killer Montoya was always full of energy and shredding his guitar on stage. Steve Morrison was more laid back and came off as cool and calm, but this was mostly because he would shoot up before every show. Johnny Makane was always visibly intoxicated, but he never missed a note. And Eric Young was always energetic and looked like he was having the time of his life as he beat the crap out of his drumset. Their shows were always memorable, and the energy and intensity on stage gave the fans a show that they would remember forever.
Now coming out soon will be their debut album "Imperial." It will have 12 tracks including the single 'Rainbow Shotgun', and the volatile punk rock blast at the government 'Fuck The System.'
