Track Description: This may look like a type you've heard over a million times, but this one has a huge difference. Written during one of Josh's roughest times; it shows emotion, pain, and the sorrow that Josh face while madly in love with his high school crush, but she died from an illness. "Yeah, she was the first girl I actually loved and she impacted my life in so many ways", said the lead vocalist Joshua 'Josh' Leto. "I first met Josh during the first year I was in high school and I remember when this happened. He was madly in love with this girl and when she died, he was torn emotionally and it was the first and only time I seen Josh like that", said the drummer and bassist Daniel Walton. The track starts of with an electric guitar playing for a few seconds, then Daniel comes in playing the drums with much rhythm and soon after, Ronnie begins playing the bass guitar. As Josh begins singing the first verse, the way he's singing already shows the pain that Josh endured when he lost his first true love. The guitar playing and the drums playing makes the song even more powerful, giving more encouragement to Josh to yell while singing and gives him more vibe and feeling. As the first verse ends and the chorus begins, Josh begins singing the well-written chorus with backup vocals by Ronnie Hamilton, the bass guitarist. The way the chorus is sung in such a catchy and inspirational way, it gives the listener encouragement for more to be heard. The chorus ends and Josh lowers the tone, but as he started the 4th line of the verse, he begins slowly rising the tone of his voice and Daniel plays the drums louder and faster. When the second verse ends, Josh begins singing the chorus the same way he had sung it before, and when the chorus ends again, the whole band plays their instruments for about a good 35 seconds and then Josh refuels yelling "What am I gonna do without you". When he finishes the short verse, the band once again plays their instruments for about 6 seconds and suddenly stops, then a few seconds later, Josh and Ronnie sings the chorus loud together for the final time, and when the chorus is over, the guitar and drums are heard for about 20 seconds until it both begins to fade away and the song ends.
Lyrics:In this world you were the only one good to me
Loosing you was so hard to deal for me
Temptation and pain was all you hepled be through
And I'd do just about anything to see your smile again
You always helped through my stress anger and pain
You were always there to cover me when their was rain
You helped me walk through the burning flames
And your definitely someone to admire
You were my only guardian angel
You're the only one I saw with a halo
You promised to never let, never let me go
Now who's gonna help me through these battles
Who will help me through all my sorrow
You once promised me, that you'd never let go
And now that you're gone, it feels so cold,
Why does life have to be so?No matter the rough times you were always there
I'm missing you and I just cannot bare
The fact that you're now gone forever
You promised me that you'd be here forever
And you left me here all alone
And slowly my heart is turning to hard stone
You were the only one who's vibes I felt
And since nowyou're gone, I can't deal with this pain alone
You were my only guardian angel
You're the only one I saw with a halo
You promised to never let, never let me go
Now who's gonna help me through these battles
Who will help me through all my sorrow
You once promised me, that you'd never let go
And now that you're gone, it feels so cold,
Why does life have to be so?What am I gonna do with out you
You were the only who helped me through
The darkest nights and all my pain
Losing you is so insane!
You were my only guardian angel
You're the only one I saw with a halo
You promised to never let, never let me go
Now who's gonna help me through these battles
Who will help me through all my sorrow
You once promised me, that you'd never let go
And now that you're gone, it feels so cold,
Why does life have to be so?
