Erich gives her a polite looking over. It's actually the first time he looked anywhere other than her eyes. Even Goofing on instagram, he more was about the caption than the picture. She was indeed beautiful,like tv beautiful. ...But actress didn't seem to fit. He knew most musicians in the industry,even some of the pop stars. He couldn't picture selene touring anytime soon.no. she seemed like someone who was in charge of something." um....weekend's manager? " he finally answers with a shrug. He probably just shot himself in the foot with that answer. He didn't mind too much though, He was here to have fun. When selene says she is ready,Erich dramatically raises his hands above his head. " ok...I promise you,you've never seen anything like it...." Erich slowly reaches into his coat,still not wanting to startle her. She looked handy with a kick to the groin. " an origami statue of two dogs doing it! " Erich proudly presents. He gingerly places the well done figure of two dachshunds in her hands ." pull the tail,it moves." he adds eagerly. He figured selene had heard and seen most everything,but this. This was unique.

"Dayum,girl! You're loaded!" Erich spouts loudly. That was quite a claim to make. He was pretty close to dustyn and figured He was pretty wealthy." Hmm. You're too pretty to be Scott Hilton In drag..clearly not gia Hilton.." he mumbles to himself.he finally gives up and shakes his head. " no. I really don't know you...wait? Do you know me?" he asks rather concerned. If She knew him,it may not be to his advantage." Erich looks at his creation and back to selene,then back to his creation. "Well...everything is a joke if you look at it the right way." Erich grins. He figured worse case scenario,selene would have an interesting story to tell her friends. There was no best case scenario. " tell me that didn't impress you. Look at the craftsmanship on the front legs, the swinging motion of their hips, the come hither look in her eyes. " Erich continues,using a pen to point out the mentioned details.

"Bad taste?!" Erich asks with a shocked expression. He thought he had picked some pretty good threads for this meeting . " well, you see what kind of women I hit on over the internet. So...." he gives a little laugh and a shrug. Erich wasn't the sort to be offended by anything. However,selene seemed ripe for a little teasing. Erich looked puzzled by her questions.he looked at the building and at selene again." wait wait wait...I could be getting PAID to do this?! " he laughs and runs a comb through his hair.he couldn't believe his origami didn't work. It should have been a sure thing ." oh I'm sure you got the men begging and crawling all over each other to buy you drinks...But, You got me. I'll get you some drinks or..." he trails off. Selene probably was a little square. She would have to be to work in an office. But, it never hurt to offer.

" well...this hair is a toupee..." Erich says with a grin. He then does the thing where you move your scalp,making the hair look like it moves. When Selene wasn't acting like he was Jack the ripper,she was pretty cute. " a mystery job where you make lots of money....I'm choosing not to think you are a drug dealer. Though if you are, could you hook me up? " he laughs before leaning in to whisper the last part. He could see underneath the snob, she had weapons grade charm. " oh you are just saying that." Erich genuinely blushes when she compliments the car. Choosing the non rat rod was a good idea. He walks over and opens the door,before leaning on the car. " you want to get those drinks?" he asks with a look to selene's eyes. " make sure your GPS is on. Who knows what I have planned." he cackles and twirls wear a mustache would be.

erich widens his eyes as people take notice of them getting in the car. it probably looks like he is coercing her to get in the car with him...well,it wouldnt be the first time he was on the news. but it would be the first time for attempted kidnapping. erich just shakes his head and laughs. erich is careful to shut the door and not catch any part of selene or her dress. the car was spotless,but there could have been some dirt in the door frame. "how do i know you dont agree to meet people,only to have them killed and you eat their flesh? im taking a chance here too. " erich says once the car door is shut. he circles around and begins to drive the car. he had no idea where to really take her,but he figured something would come up. "so...how un-square are you? " erich slyly says as he pops open the glovebox. its filled with all sorts of things that...well,erich hess would carry with him.

a he drives erich gives her a little self satisfied smirk. "for the night,huh? i guess my weiner dog origami DID impress you." he tells her without looking from the road. he sits up a little straighter and a lot prouder. he had done what he had intended to do with selene. he listens to selene basically call him a bum. he was glad she had the sort of mystery job that she loved...she certainly thought high enough of herself. "what? i dont work? i have like 12 kids running around out there that i dont take care of? im erich hess,star of stage and film...well,tv. i was on tv for big brother once. just one hour of my life involves more pleasure and adventure than any one person should be able to handle. " he says in mock defense. to spite her rather...upscale tastes,erich finds the scummiest biker bar he could find. its the sort of place you DEFINITELY dont want to use the bathroom,for any reason. as the parks the car,he closes the glovebox softly. but not before taking out his stash of weed and a pipe. there was defintely higher octane stuff in there,but he could assume this woman has never used acid...and probably wouldnt do it with him.

Ryan was not the type of person who you'd see as being able to remain friends with a former flame, which was fair as for every woman he's dated in his life, once the relationship ended for good, he would part with that ex and the two would never come to speak again. That was a common pattern for as long as he could remember, be it if it came out of something that lasted a month or two years. So even as him and Izzy began to exchange texts after what felt like years since they had broken up, he was unsure why exactly he was doing so. On the eve of Christmas Eve he still had no solid plans for the holidays, after spending last year's festivities alone in his home up north in Montana, this year he was thinking about just packing a bag and heading on a road trip in his new truck or giving in and visiting his family in the south. The last time he was in the Los Angeles area for the holidays was two years ago when he was dating Izzy at the time. What brought him to the city he had long moved on from calling his home this time around was various meetings and dealings he had concerning his next album and the recently announced series he was also working on. Having agreed to meet up at some restaurant that was both discreet and in the area, Ryan stopped by his rented home for a quick change of clothes beforehand.

With his dark hair standing tall, he double-checked the gold Rolex he donned on his wrist for the time, unsure if he had gotten there first. He nodded his head politely when the hostess led him in, removing his glasses as he walked toward that appeared to be the furtherest table in the back. Wearing an unbuttoned long-sleeved plaid shirt with a white t-shirt underneath, layered with a halfway zipped-up leather jacket and a pair of distressed jeans. He was never one to just throw on a t-shirt and a pair of pants on and head out the door like that, those who have ever been close to him knew that fact well. He rose his head just as he arrived to the table, his eyes meeting Izzy for the first time in what was at least a year in a half since they had last seen each other. Unsure exactly how to approach this newfound territory, he ran a hand through his hair with a small, anxious smirk on his lips. "Hey, Iz. Hope I didn't keep you waiting too long. I always seemed to be the one who took longer to get ready between the two of us." He jokingly remarked in his deep, hushed voice.

He placed a hand on the small of her back when she leaned in to hug him, in that moment he recalled the clear height difference between the two. If there was one thing he was always very fond of the natural good-natured quality that she had, able to defuse a situation much easier than he ever could. "Oh, that's only because you haven't looked close enough. There's some gray hairs hidden in there." He chuckled softly, taking a step back as he looked her over for a quick moment. "You look incredible, I don't know how you do it." Ryan tapped his fingers idly on the chair closes to him. "Hmm, I guess I'm alright. Life has happened in various ways since the last time we saw each other. How have you been?"

"Thirty-eight. I'm fucking thirty-eight years old now. That's way too close to the dreaded forty." Ryan chuckled himself, opting to take a seat after she decided to do so. "Well, you still look gorgeous regardless of the hundred-some shows you played this year. I would have aged a good five years in that span of my time." His eyes traveled around the room for a moment, always having a tad bit of paranoia when he was back in Los Angeles where he knew the cameras were never too far away, which was a drastic change from the home life he had settled into in Montana and the upper midwest. "That does sound like you, Iz. Never stopping, always having something up your sleeve. That's good though, you can spend the holidays with your family now which I know you greatly value." He settled into his chair, looking over at her with a soft smile. "Montana is still treating me well. It's just as gorgeous, especially this time of year. In the fall and winter, there's no one where else in the world I rather be in." He paused for a moment, clearing his throat. "I also have a place in Minneapolis now, a condo in the city. It's my little haven so I'm not completely isolated from society." Chuckling for a quick moment, his brown eyes bounced up to see the waitress come to their table to take their drink orders.

Ryan chuckled with her joke, shrugging his shoulders. "You know, I joke a lot about my age, but I feel comfortable at thirty-eight even if it's a weird period of time in my life. I'm not trying to act like I'm still twenty-five anymore because I'm not, but I'm also not thirty-eight and married or a parent like a lot of the people I know that are my age." The age difference between the two never felt like a deciding factor. To Ryan, despite the fourteen year age difference, he always found it quite easy to be himself with her and be honest, which he can't say was true for relationships prior to her. "Ah, welcome to the club. No paparazzi has taken a candid of me in ages. I'm pretty sure some people think I'm just hibernating in the middle of nowhere, which isn't too far from the truth. You've been to Montana." He said jokingly, nodding along as she spoke about his inherited home-state. "Montana definitely isn't for everybody, but there's no denying its natural beauty. I don't hate LA or New York by any means but it's more difficult to enjoy the simple gifts of life like seeing the stars on a clear night, or the sun hiding behind the mountains, hearing Yellowstone river running through my backyard at night. I would never trade that place." "I'll have a whiskey on the rocks, thanks." He looked back over to Iz with a sly smirk. "Remember how once upon a time I gave up hard liquor? Well, it clearly didn't last very long." He took a sip of the glass of water that was on the table. If old habits died hard, it stood true that his ability to ease into conversation and be as long-winded can they come had been one trait that had not changed from the last time they were in a room together. "I remember the first time I took you up there, it was around this time of year. It's cold as fuck, but when that snow starts falling. It's like being on Mulholland Drive out here and watching the sunset behind the valley."
