The song begins with a few synths and the bass playing a slow beat.
VERSE #1
As the loud kick plays too, Whitney and Jessica sing the lines of the first verse, fitting the sassy lyrics to the beat with fast and confident tunes.

Some strings and some claps begin to play along with the other instruments, as Mariah sings the pre-chorus with a slightly different tune in which she adds all the softness of her voice.

As the delay effects on Mariah's last words end with the beat 'exploding', the chorus starts with some other heavier synths and the full drum beat. The girls' vocals are fast and loud.

MARIAH BUTTON
This one was the perfect comeback song we could choose. We were all excited when we recorded it in the studio and you can imagine when we wrote it. We had just been to a party and felt really in the mood to write a fun and dancey song. I think we also wrote other great dance songs with this one, but this was just the best!
JESSICA JOHNSON
When we decided to choose this as a single, I knew we were doing the right thing. The song is very good and is one of the few dance songs that manages to get me all high and stuff. I think is quite cool and represents the new album and our sound in general. Fans will love this.
WHITNEY SMITH
I felt so cool when we first heard the song in full, it gave me the chills! I was the one who proposed to make this a single, I was like "Wow, girls, we got to release this! It's soo cool!".
KIMBERLEY WILLIAMS
I cannot believe this is the second single of my life I release and, when I left the band before it even started, I knew I was doing the wrong thing, but thankfully I regretted that and now I am back, releasing music and realising one of my biggest dreams. I think I could have never been only just a blogger. I love gossips, I love reading news and all of that, but recording a song makes me understand what I really want to do, and trust me, when I heard this song the first time, I was like "Oh my God, is that really me?". I sound a lot better than how I even did on "Vampire"!
COCO WILSON
I love this song. I think it's cool. Listen to it when you want to go clubbing or when you dress up. Even on catwalks it would be perfect.

When you're going to buy this song, all that you have to know about how it sounds is given you by the name of the band, as "Outta This World" is the perfect grown up of the group's R&B sound, which can be still heard all over the song and as soon as the song will start, it will remind you of the whole "Kiss Kiss", the debut album of the girls as a fourpiece that you may have heard.

After disappearing from the industry and then suddenly coming back with a new song, the Hard Sugar girls will appear changed to everyone's eyes and ears. But, no, they won't look like a whole new band, trying to make it again, they will instead look finally grown up and like the kind of band that Hard Sugar had to become. They are finally a strong five-piece and it's what they needed from the beginning, especially since featuring Ugenia and Alicia Lena on some of their songs and releasing a good but forgettable song like "Vampire", which made them probably understand what they had to fix and work on adding a new member to the band.
The new single "Outta This World" is what the fans needed and wanted since their last album. It's the typical sassy and in-your-face Hard Sugar song, which doesn't lack of the girls' energy. The chorus may definately be the best part, with pumping kicks, high synths and strong vocals that will make most people scream instead of singing after getting the song stuck in their heads.
Culture Uncut (3,5/5)
The Hard Sugar girls are back once again, but as much as they seem to try with putting out a big song like "Outta This World", they look too desperate to make people know that they're back as the new single doesn't give away a big change in their sound, which is still their usual sassy R&B, mixed with some heavy Dance elements this time. Fans of the band will love the new song, but if the girls didn't manage to get other fans with the same sound the last time, they surely won't take any others this time around too.
Also we wanted to buy a new car to use for the video, doesn't it look just amazing?
And last but not least, keep an eye out for some of your favourite TV shows as we may appear there performing the new song!
