SUBURBAN SUNRISE

Intro:

The last time we had heard anything from the band known as Suburban Sunrise the band had lost their singer, and seemed to be on a downward spiral. As Matt Urie attempted to carry on the Suburban Sunrise legacy, he fell short(to say the least). The quality of music had gone down, fans wondered what had happened to the band they fell in love with back in 2010. It had seemed that all was going to hell for Urie, but right as things started to pick back up with the announcement of his solo acoustic album and well received first solo single, the artist seemed to have vanished out of thin air. The album was never released, and Matt was never heard from again, until today! Suburban Sunrise has announced that they are coming back "Out of the woods" and are currently writing a new album. I'm sure fans are excited but insanely nervous at the same time. Will this be the SS we fell in love with in 2010? Or will it be some cheap knock off of whats been done before? Whats the bands lineup look like this time around? And all of these question's have been answered! When asked about it, Matt Urie(the bands lead vocalist) had this to say "Well, the lineup is pretty much the original one, I'm going to be singing, Nick(Johnson) is on bass, Dan(Richards) is our lead guitarist, and the only new face that fans are going to see is Kaolin(Walsh) on drums, who is one of our best friends. As far as I guess the "main question" goes about our style, well, we want to blend the old with a new style. I think fans are going to be surprised with our new stuff. We're going back to our Pop-Punk roots that people fell in love with, but we are also going to be adding a new feel to it, because, we(as musicians) have matured and so has the music we enjoy making. All in all, fans will like the stuff. Its going to be something entirely new in the SS chapter." So with the return of Suburban Sunrise, will they be accepted right back into the music world? Or will they have to fight their way back up! Either way I think we should be excited for the future!

BARBARIAN

Intro:

Barbara Harris, better known as Barbarian, is quietly taking the industry by storm. Since she entered the business, Barbara Harris has been one of the industry's most successful models in the international market. She's been on featured on top dollar fashion magazine such as "French Vougue" and even managed to have a $250,000 contract with Adidas. However, "Barbarian" (her artist name) has kept quiet about her interest in a career in music for quite a while and that she might be releasing music at the end of this summer! Just recently, Barbarian released her very first single, "Get In Line" which is the first song by Barbarian off her debut album "ID". The song was written by Barbarian and produced by Daniel. "In terms of sound I really chose this song as the first single because it is something fun and something different from what's out right now. I think a lot of songs are suffering from the dubstep and grime disease but this song goes totally against that. I think that it has character and it's not something you might love first listen, but eventually you can groove. This song totally describes the moment when you break up with a guy, and all you want to feel is free because those last moments in the relationship really took a toll on you. Most girls usually cry, get ugly, and suffer after a break up but I tend to take a different approach and this song really captures that. For example, you go out to a club after dealing with break up, usually most women grow desperate, and in top of that you have all these men just trying to claim you because you're now free obviously and "ready to mingle". But trying to find love in a club is probably the dumbest move a girl can make, and being aware and confident is the key. Sometimes we do it unconsciously but basically in this song I ain't making that mistake and I'm telling the boys to get in line, cause no one is gonna get a hold on me. I wanted the song to have a reggae, ska, tribal chant sort of feel, it's really liberating." - Barbarian

Look out for more songs and performances from Barbarian in the coming weeks, including a special collaboration project that will shock the industry!
