Reveal, Revealing, Revealed Is FINALLY HERE

UserPostedImage

The journey of Tisha Jackson’s ‘Reveal’ sixth studio album began on June 28th, 2011. One year later the entertainer has sold over six million copies Worldwide of the album. Fast-Forward to now, Tisha Jackson is continuing the “Reveal Era” with its Re-release titled, ‘Reveal, Revealing, Revealed’. The albums titled obviously stems from it’s origin. Reveal representing the origin of the new material, Revealing represents that the singer is still revealing layers of herself, and Reveal represents the singer wanting to reveal all that she possibly could of herself. ‘Reveal, Revealing, Revealed’ consist of seven spanking new tracks from Tisha. Five of them were originally written and produced by Tisha herself, and the other two tracks are covers from the likes of a duet between Marvin Gaye and Tammy Terrell, and Rufus & Chaka Khan. Tisha Jackson took it back to what many call, “The ol’”school with Marvin Gaye’s & Tammy Terrell’s, “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough”. Performing ‘Gaye’s’ vocals is R&B star, Dominic Brown, who assists Tisha, who puts a modern day twist to ‘Terrell’s’ vocals. Both Tisha and Dominic performed this live as a duet when Dominic opened up for Tisha’s North American and European legs of her latest World Tour. Tisha also got a little funky with her cover of legendary funk group, Rufus & Chaka Khan with “Ain’t Nobody”. Tisha remastered the beat herself. With the release of ‘Reveal, Revealing, Revealed’, Tisha mixes the best of the music that precedes her generation with the modern sound of today, with a futuristic twist. Creating a sound that she can call her own. When talking about creating a “new sound” with the new material she’s recorded for the record, Tisha said…

“I wanted to do something that had my stamp on it. I wanted to do something that when people hear it they say, “Well what’s that”. Something that would catch people’s ear and eye. So I stuck to my R&B roots with the new material we recorded for the re-release, but I wanted the music to have a futuristic vibe. I didn’t want anything on the album to sound too current or too dated. And I think I’ve met my goal and exceeded it as well. I took it to the old school with the covers I did because if it wasn’t for those people and that type of music, my career wouldn’t be where it is today, because those songs helped shaped music. Those songs are a part of me. With the five new tracks I wrote and produced, I got help from Shantel Stiletto, who is featured on “Hallelujah”, but I wanted it to be just me and my crew in the studio, making music ourselves. With the continuation of the “Reveal era” I wanted to say thank you to all the people who paved the way for me with the covers songs that I did, but I also wanted everyone to know that TISHA IS HERE, AND TO STAY!”

“‘Reveal, Revealing, Revealed’ gives my fans what they want! With its re-packaging there is Disc One. Disc one of ‘Reveal, Revealing, Revealed’ includes all the original eleven songs that was released on ‘Reveal’. Some have been remastered, and SOME FEATURED ARTIST HAVE BEEN CUT OFF OF THE RECORD. With Disc Two of ‘Reveal, Revealing, Revealed, you get the main event! Seven brand new tracks. Two of which feature Dominic Brown and Shantel Stiletto. It’s like getting two albums for the price of one. I am happy my fans get to hold it in their hands now. I can’t wait to go out and buy my own copy!”

Disc One of 'Reveal, Revealing, Revealed' contains all 10 original songs (remastered) and the original Album Booklet.

Disc Two of 'Reveal, Revealing, Revealed' contains seven BRAND NEW tracks from Tisha. And a BRAND NEW Album Booklet with new photo's of Tisha.

1. Wild Thing

UserPostedImage

Song Description

"I love that song. I love gushing over good music and that track is everything for the summer. It just has that easy breezy, go with the flow summer vibe you know? I basically wrote this song believe it or not after I saw a portrait of a naked guy. And the portrait basically depicted the male anatomy, and I basically wrote about the male anatomy and how it could be a good thing and a bad thing for us ladies. Because you know, you can like how attractive a person is on the outside, but at the end of the day, I want you’re heart. And the song basically says, you know, you’re fine as hell, but I want us to love each other before we could graduate to that next level and do the wild thing. I hope the fans like it so, I can release it as a single eventually."
-Tisha

2. Hallelujah Featuring. Shantel Stiletto

UserPostedImage

Song Description

"The first single off Reveal, Revealing, Revealed. By the way the video is coming by the end of the week. But I just wanted to do a song for a lot of people without separating my audience into two different groups. And that’s what I love most about “Hallelujah” is that it speaks to women, to blacks, to Hispanics, to all minorities but it doesn’t make them feel separated. And it doesn’t distant my fans who may not be in one of those categories, but instead it enlightens them. And I had this really hard rough, 90’s, New Jack Swing type beat in the studio, and I said to myself, “This song needs to be aggressive”. And the best way to express that aggressiveness was to talk about what issues have gone in the past and are still currently involving discrimination against all races and creeds of people. And I wanted someone aggressive and fresh to get on the track with me and Shantel was the first who came to mind, and it was a smart decision to put her on the track because she adds a lot of spice to it."
-Tisha

3. Fiercest One in Town

UserPostedImage

Song Description

"One of the most fiery, comedic, hottest records that I’ve ever written and produced. And people will make their assumptions of who they think it’s about, but it’s really talking a lot of people who can talk the talk but I want to see you walk the walk, because I’ve yet to see it. And I know I not only talk the talk and walk the walk, but you insist you can as well, so show me! Show us."
-Tisha

4. Ain’t Nobody

UserPostedImage

Song Description

"I love Chaka Khan. Her voice doesn’t only have soul, it also has funk. When she sings it’s with so much personality and you just feel her, and that’s why loved her since I was a child. But I am a child of the 80’s believe it or not; I was born in ’89. But even though the track came out before I was born, it was just one of those classics that you couldn’t escape and my mom always played. And the main thing that gets to me is the beat of the guitar and the bass line, so I re-mastered it, made it a even harder strumming version and I covered it. I just love the song, and people of my generation are familiar with it, but in a way it’s like me paying tribute and showing the next generation that because of songs like this and artist like Chaka Khan is why I am here today."

5. Ain’t No Moutain High Enough Featuring. Dominic Brown

UserPostedImage

Song Description

"Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” is one of the most beautiful songs ever written. It’s one of those songs that really eases your mind and speaks to your soul whenever you hear it. And I just wanted to recapture that magic that Marvin Gaye and Tammy Terrell had in the 70’s with myself and Dominic. You know, we performed it on tour together, and when I sang every word of it I mean every word I sing to Dominic and I also dedicated to my other friends and loved ones."

6. Curtain Call (Remix) Featuring. Dominic Brown

UserPostedImage

Song Description

The “Curtain Call (Remix)” is the continuation of the original “Curtain Call”. But it tells the man’s perspective as well. I think in the “Curtain Call” video which Dominic was in as well, you can see that the character I am playing is hurt and you can get a feel for her, but you don’t get to hear the man’s perspective of what happens in the video or song, so I wanted showcase that, and Dominic help me give a man’s point of view of the situation. It’s a really comedic, dramatic track. The fans are gonna love it. Both of ours.

7. We Got This

UserPostedImage

Song Description

"'We Got This' is just basically about the beginning of a relationship and how it is. You know that feeling you get when you can’t be without that person, but you’re heart wont fully allow you to be with that person because you don’t want to get it broken. So it basically questions if you think it’s real love what you have. The beat is crazy for the track though."
