Stacey is at home in bed, alone, snoring ever so softly as she lies under the sheets with her phone on her chest. She had been up, worried, for most of the night, and now it had taken it's toll, leaving her knackered. She stirred ever so slightly as there was a light knock on her bedroom door, which then began to open. "Hello..Stacey, are you awake?" came the voice from the door. Stacey sat up as she woke up fully, yawning and rubbing her eyes. She smiled across at the figure standing in the door. "Hey, mum," she said. "I'm scared." Stacey laughed and groaned as she swung her feet out of bed, a look that suggested she was beyond tired spread across her face. Mrs Walton chuckled at her daughter and moved into the room. "Why are you scared, darling? It'll all be fine. Here I brought you a coffee." Stacey nods and stretches before standing up and taking the coffee. She smiles again and then looks at Twitter. She walks downstairs and opens the front door of the house to find a huge bouquet of flowers. Stacey puts her hand over her mouth and smiles. She comes back in and goes up to where her mum is now standing in the corner of the room, making sure the dress is perfect. "Look what he got me, mum. They're beautiful." "They look amazing, Stace," Mrs Walton says. "You know, a few years ago, I thought I'd never hear you say something like that about a bouquet...but just look at you now. You've changed so much. You seem so much happier." Stacey smiles and hugs her mum. "I am. I have everything I could ever need now in Taylor, and I'm so happy to be having the chance to do this today. To marry the guy I love." "I'm proud of you, Stacey. I really am." Her mum wipes a tear from her cheek, and the two embrace.
A short while later, Stacey's mum (who has allegedly got it going on) is sat in the living room waiting. After a few minutes, Stacey comes in, her hair tied up in curls around her head, and her white strapless dress flowing behind her. She looks incredible, and her mum covers her mouth. "Oh my God Stacey. You look fantastic. He's in for a treat today." They both laugh and then hug, before Stacey reaches for a glass of white wine on the table. "For nerves," she explains.
A few minutes after, there is a knock at the door, and Stacey looks out of the window to see the Bentley adorned with wedding ribbons, and beside it, her father in his tux, ready to give her away at the church. She breathes slowly and then smiles to herself. This was it. |
