Mtv: We're here now with singer and front man of the band Suburban Sunrise, Matt Urie!

Mtv: So Matt lets jump right into it! Suburban Sunrise is back, is new music on the way and how long until we can expect to hear you guys on the air waves?

Matt: Yes. We're currently working on a new album, and we're kind of I guess, taking our time with this album because in the past we have rushed out albums and haven't put enough time into it, but we've been working on these songs for about the last two months and started recording last week so I mean its almost finished but still has some tweaks that need to be done here and there, but I think people should be expecting a new single either mid or late August. So just around the corner!

Matv:What direction are you guys taking this time around? In the past we've heard Pop-Punk, Electronic, Rock, Hardcore, and from what you guys called it Pop-Alternative. What can we expect with this new record?

Matt: Ya, I mean in the past we have definitely experimented with our sound but all bands do to find their footing and find the sound that best define's them, put our new stuff is going to be a mix of the style fans heard on our breakout album "Torn, Filthy, Love" mixed with something brand new that people aren't going to see coming

Mtv: So you gave us an expected time for the single release but what about the album? When can we get our hands on the new Suburban Sunrise record?

Matt: With where we are right now with the recording and mixing I would say probably late September or early October. Maybe sooner, maybe later? I'm not quite sure to be honest. We try not to give it a date or time until we have an idea of when we'll be finished

Mtv: You guys announced recently that you'll be joining Stephanie Fierce on her "History Revealed" tour this September to December, can you tell us how in the world that happened?

Matt: To be honest I'm not quite sure myself(laughs) Our drummer, Kaolin, was the one who actually talked to her when she invited us on. I know he and Dan(guitarist) were talking about how it would be cool to get on a major tour with Stephanie. So it was really all quick and fast but we can't wait to hit the road with her and whoever else is on the North American leg, I'm not quite sure who is. I thought everyone was on the NA leg but I guess only certain people are

Mtv: Now, on Twitter recently you had it out with your brother James. Do you want to talk about what happened? Because I know me, along with probably everyone is wondering what actually happened

Matt: I don't want to get to into it, because it is personal business and I don't want to drag more people into it. But, what happened was, he was complaining that I didnt call him or anything when SS announced that we were coming back and from there I confronted him and let him know that he shouldn't expect anything from me because he has never made an attempt to stay and contact with me. So overall, thats really what happened.

Mtv: You are aware that your brother is one of the biggest names in music right?

Matt: Ya and I think the "fame" has gotten to him. He's not the same kid he was last year to say the least

Mtv: Sorry to hear about that man, so lets end this interview on somewhat of a happier note, women! Any girls in your life? I mean the last time you really had a serious relationship was with the now married Stacy Walton back in 2010

Matt: Uh no actually no women in my life. Still singe ahaha but ya Stacy was the last person I was in a "serious" relationship with. And well, its true what they say you don't know what you have till its gone.

Mtv: Well I'm sure you'll find someone someday Matt! Many girls around here in America would die to have you. But thanks for stopping in, fans! Expect new music from Suburban Sunrise this August! And if you've never heard of them you can check them out at www.suburbansunrise.com and www.facebook.com/suburbansunrisemusic This has been another great addition of MtvNews!
