Her first taste of fame was in 2009 when she starred in a string of music videos for her brother’s Alternative Rock band, The Junction. She also starred in two music video’s for Alicia Lena in 2010. In October 2010 her brother, musician, Max Armstrong was involved in a tragic car accident and lost his life after spending the following months with her family in New Jersey she decided to move to Los Angeles, California to focus on getting a record deal. She had plans for a music career and is an accomplished pianist and guitarist as well as being a singer-songwriter. At the end of January 2011 she signed a two album record deal with Shooting Star Records and began working on her debut album in February 2011, releasing her debut single at the end of February. She was later dropped from Shooting Star Records after her suicidal attempt and break from her music career. After a long six month break from music, Jennifer is now breaking back out into the music scene once again. At the moment she is working on her sophomore album, 23, and has released the first single from the album, My Heart Is Not For Taking, on February 25, 2012. EARLY LIFEJennifer Armstrong was born in Hudson, County, New Jersey to Susan and David Armstrong. Her mother, was an English teacher and her father was a builder. She has one younger twin brother, Lucas Armstrong, one older sister, Katie Armstrong and her older brother, Max Armstrong who was 23 years old when he died in October 2010.
Jennifer always had an interest in music, her brother Max was the first to own a guitar and he taught her the basics. She always had an interest in pop music but seemed to prefer the harder edge to it which developed into a love of pop rock. At 12 she decided to take up piano lessons and quickly fell in love with the instrument, spending hours playing classical pieces from the likes of Bach and Brahms. She then began writing her own music and accompanying that with lyrics, she wrote her first complete song at the age of 14, a song which she still has the original lyrics sheet to.
She would often sneak into Max’s bedroom when he was away from home and borrow his rock records but when she was caught with the records she wasn’t expecting Max’s reaction to be so good, “He was delighted because I was Listening to his Springsteen records and his Dylan records and I guess he preferred that more than like a Spice Girls record or a Britney Spears record. He took me over to this youth center place in New York one weekend and he wrote down the chords for the whole Born To Run album and told me to play each song on the piano. It was such an incredible moment, We were there playing songs like Thunder Road and Jungleland together, I was playing the piano and he was playing guitar and it was magical, that is hands down my favorite memory of Max.”
Unlike her siblings, Jennifer stayed in education beyond the age of 16. She studied at Hudson County College, New Jersey. She achieved a Master Of Arts degree over the two year period. After finishing college she initially planned to move to Los Angeles, California but after the death of Max she opted to stay with her family in New Jersey.MUSIC CAREERIn early 2011 she decided to finally move to Los Angeles, California to focus on her music career. She turned down an acting role in a daytime soap in January 2011 claiming that she wanted to focus on music before she turns her hand to other projects. On January 28, 2011 she signed a two album record deal with Shooting Star Records! and she confirmed that she would be performing four "hype" shows in February 2011. It was confirmed on this official website in February 2011 that she would be working on a track with Jaymz Snow. In February 2011 she began working on the songs that were likely to be part of her debut album in a recording studio in Los Angeles. Her debut single Queen Bee was released on February 26, 2011. She announced the tracklisting, album cover and album title on February 25, 2011. The album was called Scarlett Fever but was delayed due to her having to recover from a possible suicide attempt. ACTING CAREERShe has appeared in a number of music videos for The Junction and as well as staring in two Alicia Lena music videos. Her first appearance was in The Junctions 2nd music video, People On The Streets. She then starred in a trilogy of music videos, What’s Going Wrong With The World We Live In, One More Night and Teenage Heartland.
She starred in two of Alicia Lena’s music videos including More Than You’ll Ever Know and New Developments. She starred in her debut single's music video Queen Bee. PERSONAL LIFEShe was always very close with her brother Max. Her older sister Katie claims, “Max saw a lot of his younger self in Jennifer. She was always more interested in music and other artistic endeavors and Max spotted that and encouraged that in her. He really taught Jennifer a lot about music, he even took her on the road sometimes because she was always interested to see what goes into making a live show work. She was always Max‘s favorite and he was very protective of her, he always looked out for her and he‘ll be proud that she‘s trying to make her way in the music industry.” Following on from the similarities to Max she has a very open and honest personality.
She has only dated twice, “I dated my friend, Travis. We knew each other since we were 12 years old and we were kinda inseparable. We dated for 3 years and it was a really great relationship, we still keep in touch but he’s in Jersey and I’m in LA.” and asked if she’s currently single she replied, “No.” At the current time, she is seeing band member, Aaron Simpson, from former band, CrushCrushCrush. The couple recently got engaged on March 4, 2012.
She went to the 2011 Music Hall Of Fame Awards with Dan Richerds and is reportedly set to do a brief club tour of the U.S.A with him in March 2011. However that never took place because inn March 2011, just one week after the release of her debut single, she was rushed to the hospital after reportedly attempting suicide.
After a long six month break, she is now preparing for her return to music again. Armstrong is said to be working on her sophomore album, 23, which is to be released sometime in March. On February 25, 2012 the first single from the album, My Heart Is Not For Taking, was released. In 2011 she enrolled in Music4Youth shortly before leaving to be on Celebrity Big Brother 2. Like Music4Youth, her stay on CBB2 ended soon as it had begun. She and her brother Lucas left after just a few days of the seasons start due to Jen's friend ending up in the hospital from an automobile attack.

Wanted to apologize to my fans, friends, and family for having to leave Celebrity Big Brother 2. I know a lot of people were counting on me to make this work but unfortunately a situation happened that I had no control of. I personally wish things could have been different cause I'm not a person that likes to quit something that I've started. Life happens I guess and you just have to make the best of it. So I hope you all can forgive me and continue to support me as well. As an update on how my friend is doing, I'd like to say that she fell into a coma last night. It saddens me to have this happen but I have faith that she will be okay. I'd love for everyone to keep her in their prayers and I'll continue to update you all on her condition. Before she fell into her coma last night, I had a chance to speak with her about life and other things. She told me that she wants me to carry on with my normal routine instead of letting this get me down. At first I was against this but she made me promise so I did. In carrying out my promise I like to say that I've been working on a few songs and I've found the one that I'd like to release soon. I'll tell you more about it and my sophomore album in the next coming days. For now I'm signing off but enjoy yourselves today cause its a beautiful day. xoxo ______________________ Jenny Blog #2
My apologies for taking so long to put up another Jenny Blog but my mind has been elsewhere lately. Anyways just wanted to say a few things to you all about what I've been up to. First thing first I'm proud to tell you all that I've been working on my sophomore album. I've decided to call it "23." Some of you may know why, while others may not. If you don't know then shame on you, you're not the fan I thought you were. Lol no I'm just kidding, it's not that serious if you don't know. I'll explain it all later when the time comes. For now I haven't officially set a date for the album to be out but right now I'm leaning towards sometime this summer. I'm sure most of you are wondering when I'll be putting out new music and I can finally answer that. I'll be putting out a new single called "My Heart Is Not For Taking." Seriously fell in love with this song since the very day I wrote it. I hope you all will love it too because its mostly my favorite from the album. Anyways I'll be releasing it on February 25th and there will also be a video for it. I'll let you all know when that will be premiering but make sure you get ready to hear my new single first. One last thing I'd like to add before leaving is that I've been asked to join Cinzia on her Oceania Leg next month. It'll be five dates only but make sure you come out and support me guys. I love you all and lets work to keep music alive! xoxo ________ Jenny Blog #3
Its been ages since I've last put up a Jenny Blog but better late than never right? Anyway I've got tons of things to share with you all that I'm not even sure where to begin. I guess I'll start off by telling you that I'm currently on tour with Giselle and my good friend, Jacob Estrada. The tour kicked off last night in Hong Kong and we'll still be here until tomorrow before moving on to Seoul on Sunday. With that said I'm sure you guys know that I won't be attending the Chaos Awards VI this weekend. I will say though that I'm very excited about my nominations. It always surprises me that anyone would recognize me when there's such a variety of talented artists out there. So it's such a honor to be nominated and I thank my fans for that. You guys believed in me from my highs to my lows. So thank you and to show how much I appreciate and love you all, I've got some amazing things coming soon. I've been working on a new song with a good friend of mine. Its called, "A Smile To Remember" and I'll be releasing it this Friday here on my website and iTunes. Can't wait for you guys to hear that because its one of my favorite songs on the album. Speaking of the album, Its been way too long since I've had an album out. So I just want to give you all the good news about the release date. The official date for "Twentythree" will be July 24th, 2012. That may seem like a long time but I promise it'll be worth the wait. Over the next few days, I'll be releasing information for the album so you don't want to miss that. As part of promotion for the album, I'll be doing an interview for Seventeen Magazine and will be going on to the Music Box as well. As you all know, I've recently been signed to Studio60 Records. I mean how cool is that! I'm extremely excited about it and hopefully this time around I won't lose this record deal. (Inside joke) With my bad luck though, who knows. Guess we'll just have to see. Lastly before I wrap this up, look out for my two new videos. The first will be for "Another Pretty Lie" and the other will be for "A Smile To Remember." I really think that both videos came out amazing and I know you'll love them. Anyway its time for me to peace out. Love you strongsters! xoxo
