Reveal sells 10 Million Copies WW It’s a bitter sweet time for Pop-star Tisha Jackson. Her re-release of her album, Reveal, sold 150,000 copies this week, totaling Reveal to 10,076,361 copies sold of Reveal. Reveal was released over a year ago in the summer of 2012, and sold 3,267,361 physical copies, and 3,184,000 digital copies.
Over a year later on July 2, 2012, The album was re-released and re-packaged with six brand new songs recorded by Tisha in addition the original eleven tracks that was featured on the original disc. Tisha re-packaged the album as Reveal, Revealing, Revealed. It eventually shot to No.1 in it’s second week of release. Since it’s re-release, it has sold 3,265,000 copies as of this week.
Totaling the sales of the original ‘Reveal’ disc released on June 28th, 2011 and the re-release of Reveal, ‘Reveal, Revealing, Revealed, released on July 2nd, 2012, Reveal has sold a total of 10,076,361 copies worldwide making it one of the best-selling albums of the new decade thus far, and the second highest selling album for a female in the new decade behind Adele’s ‘21’. The album is also the highest-selling R&B album of the new decade by far. The bitterness of this feat is that, Tisha has to celebrate this news in rehab. Tisha is also in the process of recording a new album to follow-up, Reveal. It will be her first studio album in two years. Her manager went on to comment:
“We are extremely happy with the results of Reveal. This has been a long journey for us. Tisha is “greatly appreciative to her fans and she loves them deeply”. I’ve spoken with her today, and she wants you all to know that she is “doing great”. She says she feels “more clear”, and she wants to get herself back to tip top form. She is “taking it one day at a time, and is excited to see things falling back into place”. She also spoke with me about the state of her new record, and wants you all to know, she hasn’t stopped working on it, and she is writing every day. I do want you all to be patient with Tisha though, and realize her recovery and wellbeing is what matters most right now. Thank you all for your time.
-Ron Brown [Jackson’s Manager]
